The production of removable dentures in prosthodontics is not complicated, but it is also a delicate job that requires the patience and care of a prosthodontist to create comfortable, beautiful and durable dentures - oral restorations. The first step in the production of removable dentures: oral restoration—before the removable dentures, the surgeon should first conduct a comprehensive examination of the remaining teeth, gingival mucosa, lips and cheeks, frenulum, tongue, alveolar bone, jaw and temporomandibular joint, etc., and design according to the patient's oral and general conditions, as well as the patient's requirements and the conditions of the hospital, decide what dentures to insert, and grind and adjust the abutments.
The second step of removable denture production is to take an impression after the abutment is prepared to obtain an impression of the patient's edentulous area and the abutment and abutment area. Step 3 of removable denture making:
Plaster or artificial stone is poured into the impression, which is then turned into an impression and the model is trimmed after it has been solidified, and the impression is in the same condition as in the mouth. Dentures are made on this model. Step 4 of removable denture making:
Brackets for making snap rings and dentures. The snap ring and bracket are made of stainless steel wire or by casting method. These two methods can be used depending on the condition of the dentures.
The fifth step of the production of removable dentures: after the snap ring is completed, the artificial teeth are arranged on the gap between the missing teeth with wax as the base, and the shape of each denture is carved. Step 6 of removable denture making:
The denture edge model is packed together in a specific box, and then the wax base is ironed and rinsed off, so that the wax part is replaced with plastic filling. Then the box is pressed and heat treated to make the plastic gradually polymerized and consolidated under a certain pressure and temperature. Step 7 of the production of removable dentures:
After heat treatment, the cartridge is naturally cooled. Open the box, remove the removable dentures, adjust them, modify the shape and preliminarily polish the dentures.

In the past, dentures were made first, and when it was time to use them, they were directly found and attached to the gums, which was the traditional method. Now sharing a new method, and more and more people are using this method, is a trend and a kind of progress. That is 3D printed dentures, which are very personalized, whether it is a tooth replacement or a filling, it can be very suitable for you to create the dentures you want.
The first step is to scan the teeth of your mouth against the missing teeth, usually using an internal scanner in a 3D scanner to get an initial model of the shape and size of the missing tooth or tooth. The next step is to modify the tooth model obtained by scanning in detail, remove some shadows or superfluous parts, or have medical peacocks discontinuous, and generally modify them more or less after scanning. After modification, you will get a unique tooth model model, process it in a specific processing software, export the corresponding print file, and send it to a 3D printer ready for printing.
Connect the obtained tooth model file to the computer connected to the 3D printer, start printing according to the operation steps of the 3D printer, and finally get a personalized tooth model. The printing here is mainly made of photosensitive resin as raw material to make dental molds, because the accuracy of grinding obtained by bright resin printing is higher. The polished plaster mold printed with photosensitive resin is used as a pattern to create a plaster mold that can withstand high temperatures.
Because the temperature resistance of photosensitive resin cannot reach the temperature required for denture production, the high temperature resistance is poor, and it cannot be directly used as dentures, so it is necessary to make plaster molds, which is the simplest and most affordable. Of course, it is also possible to use laser sintering to print teeth, but the cost is too high and not suitable. Once the plaster mold of the dental mold is obtained, the dental material can be injected directly.
This is somewhat similar to our traditional method, which is a method of injection molding.
Finally, after waiting for the dental material to solidify, knock the plaster or dissolve the plaster, take out the dentures, and process the dentures in detail, and finally you can get the unique teeth you want and are personalized, and there will be basically no deviation on your gums, just like your previous real teeth, and there will be no different sizes, large gaps, etc.

The first is removable dentures, which have the advantage of being inexpensive and easy to clean. However, there are many shortcomings such as metal snap rings that affect the appearance, and the chewing efficiency and stability are not good, and it is easy to fall off, and the foreign body feeling is strong. So it is not recommended to choose, of course, unless you have a serious tooth loss, such as the elderly.

Then there is the fixed porcelain crown, which has the advantages of no foreign body feeling, beautiful and comfortable, and has been widely recognized by people. The disadvantage is that you need to grind your teeth, because you can only wear a porcelain crown after grinding the good teeth into piles. Generally, the porcelain crown has nickel-chromium, about 400 per piece, cobalt-chromium, 1000 per piece, silver palladium porcelain, 1500 per piece, zirconia, about 3000 each, and so on.
Finally, there are dental implants, which have the advantage of restoring tooth function well and chewing much better than other traditional dentures. It is recognized by the dental community as the preferred method of restoration for missing teeth. However, dental implants are also the most expensive type of dental restoration, and they also require surgery, and the course of treatment is relatively long, about 3-6 months.
Its cost, South Korea, 8000. In Europe and the United States, about 12,000 is the mainstay, and if you add the crown, there are at least 10,000 for a single tooth.

How are dentures made?
-
The traditional dentures are made of zirconia ceramic, while the new ones are made of zirconia-resin bionic composite denture materials. Traditional zirconia ceramic dentures have a much higher hardness and modulus than human teeth, and when people put on these dentures, they can significantly accelerate the wear and tear of the jaw and normal teeth that are in contact on both sides.
However, in the experiment of grinding between the new denture material and the tooth, the material has a lower friction coefficient than zirconia ceramic, which can significantly reduce the wear of the denture on the normal teeth of the human body.

1) Plastic teeth. Hard plastic teeth, which have been widely used in clinical practice, have better wear resistance than ordinary plastic teeth.
2) Porcelain teeth. It is a restorative crown that restores tooth defects and meets functional and aesthetic requirements. From the structure, it is divided into inner crown and glazed porcelain layer, and from the texture, it is divided into metal inner crown and all-porcelain inner crown porcelain.
3) Metal teeth. In order to prevent the longitudinal folding of artificial teeth, for those who are too small and missing teeth or too low gingival distance, cast metal teeth or metal teeth and braces and snap rings can be used for overall casting to achieve the purpose of beauty and durability.
