Ginger has strong adaptability and is not very strict with soil requirements, and can be planted regardless of sandy soil, loam and clay soil. However, ginger cultivation on the soil layer is deep, loose, fertile, rich in organic matter, aerated and well-drained, with high yield, delicate ginger quality and peaceful taste; Ginger blocks grown in sandy loam soil are more polished and beautiful. Ginger is more sensitive to soil pH.

Ginger selection and fertilization.

Ginger has weak drought tolerance and moisture tolerance, so it should be cultivated in sandy loam, loam or clay loam fields containing more organic matter, irrigation and drainage. Among them, the sandy loam soil is the best, and the ginger blocks grown are clean and beautiful. The requirements for soil pH are slightly acidic to neutral, and alkaline soil is not suitable for cultivation.

Ginger cannot be cropped continuously, and must be reasonably rotated with other crops to prevent soil disease transmission and poor growth. Dig 20 30 cm deep on the selected land, and repeatedly plow the rake, fully dry the drow, and then rake the fine furrow. The form of furrow varies from region to region.

The Yangtze River basin and its southern areas are rainy in summer, and it is advisable to make deep ditches and high furrows, and the furrows are north-south. The length of the furrow is not more than 15 meters, and if the field is long, the waist furrow is opened in the field. The furrow width is about 1 2 meters, the furrow is 35 40 cm wide, the ditch is 12 15 cm deep, and the "three ditches" are matched, and the drainage is smooth.

On the furrow, open the east-west planting ditch according to the row spacing of about 50 cm, the depth of the ditch is 10 13 cm, and the fully decomposed manure or manure is applied in the planting ditch, 2000 2500 kg per mu, 75 kg of cake fertilizer, about 75 kg of plant ash, 5kg of Bicarda fertilizer, and the ditch soil is fully mixed for planting.

Under the condition of low nitrogen fertilizer level, the effect of phosphate fertilizer was not significant, and the potassium uptake increased sharply in the later stage.

Solanum (scientific name: solanum

melongena

l.Solanaceae, nightshade plant, erect branched herbaceous to subshrub, up to 1 m high, twigs, petioles and peduncles are branched by 6-8-(10), flat or stellate hairs with short stalks, twigs are mostly purple (wild ones often have skin thorns), and the hairs are gradually shed as they age. The leaves are large, ovate to oblong-ovate, and the petioles are about centimeters long (wild with skin spines).

It can conceive flowers alone, the flower stalk is about centimeters long, and the hair is dense. The shape and size of the fruit vary greatly. The shape of the fruit is long or round, and the color is white, red, purple, etc.

The stems of eggplant have a high degree of lignification, no need for scaffolds, and the branches are more regular, which is suitable for interplanting with ginger. The interplanting method is to sow eggplants in a solar greenhouse in late January and plant them in arched greenhouses in mid to late March.

First, ditch and ridge according to the row spacing of 50 cm, fertilize and water according to the routine, and plant the eggplant on the ridge with a plant spacing of 35 to 40 cm. In early to mid-April, 5000 kg of high-quality circle fertilizer, 75 kg of cake fertilizer, and 30 kg of compound fertilizer were applied every 667 m2 in the ditch, and then the ginger seeds were discharged by dry sowing method with a plant spacing of 20 cm (Figure 8-6). After the ginger seedlings are ready, the canopy film is removed, and the eggplant doubles as a shade material for ginger.

Due to the strong branching ability of eggplant, it is easy to cause excessive shade, so early varieties should be selected and pruning measures should be taken, and only left.

One, two, and three lateral branches, and the rest are all knocked out. Seven eggplants are harvested per plant, and the seedlings are then fertilized and soiled for ginger. In mid-October, the greenhouse film is fastened, and the temperature in the shed is maintained at 25 30 during the day and 13 18 at night.

Harvest is harvested in early November when the minimum temperature in the shed drops below 13.
