1.Before upgrading, make sure that the device is not rooted and reserve more than 10g of internal storage space.
Back up your data in advance (third-party messaging apps need to be backed up separately) and make sure that your device has been upgraded to the baseline version. Different products have different methods to upgrade the baseline version, so we recommend that you try both methods.
Method 1: You can check the version and upgrade to the latest version in Settings > System and Update > Software Update.
Once you're ready, you can complete your system upgrade in two ways:
Method 1: Complete the system upgrade through the Harmony OS Open Beta event
Open My Huawei and try the public beta to find the public beta event post of the corresponding model to learn about the public beta participation process, the adapted model and baseline version, and precautions.
Click to participate in the OBT, read the HUAWEI OBT Agreement, Privacy Statement, and agree to it. Then the profile and installation is successful. If the model you are holding is not suitable for the current OBT activity, clicking on "**Profile" will prompt "The profile is invalid and the installation is terminated."
Method 2: Complete the system upgrade through the HarmonyOS closed beta event
Open My Huawei "Pollen Club" Closed Beta Registration" to register immediately, fill in the correct registration information according to the prompts, and submit the registration information After submitting the registration information, "Your closed beta application is successful, please wait for the administrator to review" will pop up to be deemed to have filled in the registration information successfully. If you click to register now, it prompts "There is no internal test activity for the model you are using, thank you for your attention." indicates that your device does not currently have an ongoing beta test activity, or the Huawei you are using has already registered on another device, and you can re-apply for registration after the other device is approved.
If your registration is successful, the HarmonyOS update will be detected in Settings > System & Updates > Software Update.
If you find that you have made an error after submitting the information, you can modify the registration information through My Huawei "Pollen Club" Closed Beta Registration "My Closed Beta".
