Feng Shui has been popular in Western countries for more than ten years, and there are a number of Feng Shui schools to teach Chinese Feng Shui. In the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia and other countries, there are professional magazines of Feng Shui, and many works on mathematics have also been published, involving many aspects such as I Ching, Feng Shui, Four Pillars, Physiognomy, and Astrology, especially Feng Shui is more practical and more prominent.
In foreign countries, Westerners also use Chinese Feng Shui to give guidance on Feng Shui for business and home. In the West, due to the gradual penetration of feng shui into the people, it now has a broad foundation, and many countries have feng shui consulting companies, and feng shui consulting and life consultancy are combined. The author has been invited to give lectures in the United Kingdom, Italy, Australia and other countries many times, and is well aware of the difficulties of learning Feng Shui and the results they have achieved.
At the same time, there are also misguided and misunderstood situations in learning, which are somewhat worrying.
Some of the academic questions about Feng Shui abroad are also very interesting and relevant. For example, the application of Chinese feng shui in the southern hemisphere has encountered some new problems, and there is a debate in the feng shui community about whether and how feng shui methods or theories should be changed. This question is a great source of confusion for people who practice the profession of Feng Shui and those who are concerned about Feng Shui.
During my lectures in Australia, many students asked this question: Is Chinese Feng Shui applicable in Australia or the Southern Hemisphere? As far as the author knows, in the Feng Shui teaching and consulting services in Australia, some are completely operated according to Chinese Feng Shui theories and practices, and some are partially changed, such as the change of the Nine Stars Flying Star, the change of the Bagua and so on. But there is no complete and systematic or mature framework for the Southern Hemisphere Feng Shui theory.
Some argue that Chinese Feng Shui should be changed according to the situation of the country in which it is applied; Others insist on staying the same, believing that if it changes, it will change the integrity of the feng shui system and will inevitably cause even greater chaos. This exacerbates the confusion of Feng Shui users and beneficiaries. The various factions argued on the basis of reason, and quarreled endlessly.
For example, the main reasons for advocating change are as follows:
The southern hemisphere is cold in the south and warm in the north, that is, in the southern hemisphere the south is water, which should be "kan", and the north is fire, which should be "away"; The seasons are different, and in terms of time, the northern and southern hemispheres are exactly the opposite. While the Southern Hemisphere is summer, the Northern Hemisphere happens to be winter. Thus at the same time if one side is fire and the other is water.
Other main reasons for not advocating change are the following: the majority of the world's population lives in the north.

The house sits northwest to southeast, which is a direction in Feng Shui, also known as "kan" and "li". Generally speaking, in Feng Shui, different orientations have different effects on the living environment and the occupants. Therefore, whether Feng Shui is good or not needs to comprehensively consider multiple factors such as the surrounding environment, topography, and interior design layout.
In terms of orientation, the angle between the northwest and southeast is exactly 180 degrees, which belongs to the "six strokes" of feng shui. In traditional Feng Shui, this orientation is often thought to cause the occupants to suffer adverse effects such as loss of fortune and frequent illness. As a result, some traditional Feng Shui codes suggest that homes should avoid this orientation.
However, it is important to note that modern Feng Shui theories have become more scientific and empirical than traditional beliefs. That said, just because the house is located northwest to southeast doesn't mean it's necessarily a bad location. It is very important to see whether the aura of the whole environment is stable and harmonious, whether the terrain is gentle, and whether the layout of the rapid land shelter in the room is reasonable.
If the environment and interior design can be reasonable, then the feng shui of the house may also be good.
Therefore, when studying Feng Shui, it is recommended to combine the surrounding environment and actual situation, combined with the guidance of professionals, to carry out the construction and layout of a scientific and reasonable Mu Prefecture.

There are good feng shui and bad feng shui in any direction.
The orientation does not explain how Feng Shui is erected, and people who say what is good and what is not good are not really people who understand it at all. Punch.
The orientation should be combined with the surrounding environment to judge the good and bad situation, the interior and layout of the house, and the furniture furnishings are also important factors that determine the quality of feng shui.
In fact, the orientation is not important at all, it is almost negligible, and it is irresponsible to say that Feng Shui is based on the direction of the direction.
Typhoons are violent storms that occur in the tropical oceans of the Northwest Pacific Ocean and the South China Sea. You must have seen eddies in rivers from time to time, but in fact, typhoons are air vortices that rotate rapidly around their center in the atmosphere and move forward at the same time. It rotates counterclockwise in the northern hemisphere and clockwise in the southern hemisphere. >>>More
The process seems to be divided into several different factions and stages (some of them are older than the 19th century, but they are written together for easy analysis, such as the Xinhai Revolution and the New Culture Movement). >>>More
The Meiji Restoration was a bourgeois reform, and Japan embarked on the bourgeois road. The Westernization Movement learned Western techniques in order to maintain the feudal rule of the Qing Dynasty. So there are different results.
The fundamental difference between Yang House Feng Shui and Yin House Feng Shui is that Yang House lives with living people. And the dead are buried in the house. Living people need to accept qi, so the choice of "wind" and "water" in the house is extremely important. The yin house focuses on sitting on the mountain and dividing the gold, and the gold is not good if the deceased is physical.
Back in primitive societies.
The Chinese ancestors built village houses in the direction of sitting north and facing south, and most of the houses found in archaeology had their gates facing south. In the commercial period, the direction of measurement is the first step in choosing the environment. >>>More
