2. Restrictions on computer software copyright.

In order to safeguard the interests of the public, ensure the normal use of software, and promote the development of software development technology, the Regulations on the Protection of Computer Software stipulate the restrictions on software copyright.

1.Fair Use. For the purpose of learning and researching the design ideas and principles contained in the software, the software is used by installing, displaying, transmitting, or storing the software, without the permission of the software copyright owner, and no remuneration is paid to the software.

Install the software into a computer or other device with information processing capabilities according to the needs of use; Make backup reproductions to prevent damage to the reproductions. These backup copies shall not be made available to others in any way and shall be responsible for the extermination of the copies in the event that the owner loses ownership of the lawful copy; Modify the software as necessary to use it in the actual computer application environment or to improve its functions and performance; However, unless otherwise agreed in the contract, the modified software shall not be provided to any third party without the permission of the copyright owner of the software.

3.Similar development. Software developed by a software developer that is similar to pre-existing software due to the limited number of expressions available does not constitute an infringement of the copyright of pre-existing software.
