Founded in 2004, Guangxi Finance and Economics College was formed by the merger of Guangxi Finance College and Guangxi Leasing Nuclear Commercial College.
The history of the school can be traced back to the establishment of Guangxi Commercial College in 1960 (renamed Guangxi Commercial School in September 1962) and the establishment of Guangxi School of Finance and Economics in 1963. In 1984, Guangxi Commercial College was established on the basis of Guangxi Commercial School.
