The teachings of the Buddha are recorded in the scriptures; Ordinary people can only believe; Even if you "doubt and believe", it is better than not hearing and understanding.

The landlord said "we understand" and "our thinking understands". In fact, there is no difference, why?

On the one hand, the "me" of ordinary people is the "conscious self" and cannot be the "true self". Otherwise, it is an enlightened bodhisattva, so why ask questions here? Therefore, "I" and "my thinking" are actually the same thing; If not, which mind does this "I" represent?

On the other hand, the "true self" has no perception, no contact with all the dharmas, and it is impossible to "understand".

Of the three, if you don't use this awareness to practice the Dharma and thus touch your true heart, which mind can have this function? The patriarch said: "Think about that without thinking about the bottom", and Yunyun: "Cultivate the truth by falsehood". It's the "only way".

People often teach, "Don't separate, don't cling, don't think about it," and so on, that is, people who misunderstand the Dharma. If so, isn't it "reversing black and white, slacking off and relaxing, the same as wood and stone"?

The ancient true enlightenment patriarch has already been reprimanded, such as Nanyue Huairang and Matsu Daoyi's "grinding bricks into mirrors" public case; For example, the Sixth Patriarch Master broke the lying wheel monk "can break a hundred days of thinking" and so on. It's not the end of the story.

Mo Dao's heartlessness is Zen, and heartlessness is still separated by thousands of mountains".

    Nan no Master Shakyamuni Buddha.

Let you have the great compassion, great wisdom and great strength of the Buddha.

The Buddha's manifestation is to make sentient beings understand that everyone can become a Buddha. It's a light, a sign, and we'll just follow that and we'll get closer.

Studying Buddhism is inseparable from one's own thinking, and those who have not attained enlightenment, who are not called enlightened, are all thinking and observing the Buddha's intentions by themselves. Whether it is the same opinion or not, those who have not attained the fruition position cannot judge.

    Amitabha, good, good!

Senior brother, don't be so nervous, and don't think so much about what you have and what you don't have.

Why do you have such a question? There are several reasons for this.

The first is that you're too nervous. Then there's the fact that you have too many distractions. When you are nervous, it will not be easy for your heart to settle down, and if you can't settle down, you will naturally have a lot of distractions.

As soon as there were many distracting thoughts, some of the thoughts in Alayah (for beginners, it can be simply understood as the subconscious) came out. So, it feels like this, why do you have these thoughts? It's something you've been exposed to these kinds of bad thoughts, and when the time comes, those thoughts come up again.

What situation are you facing now? That is, some of the gross troubles gradually subsided, so, slowly, these subconscious troubles came out. So, don't worry, it's normal.

It is a common problem that ordinary people may encounter in their intensive practice.

How to solve it? It is to continue to persevere and repent of karma at the same time. When the karmic repentance is purified, there will naturally be no such bad thoughts.

When you persevere, Buddha power will bless you and help you reduce your karma.

At the same time, you have to be sincere, and the more sincere you are, the faster your karma will diminishe, what is sincerity? It is sincerity that is not born in a thought. Don't think about what you have or don't have, just concentrate on chanting the Buddha, holding mantras, and slowly your karma will disappear and you will be purified, and then you will be fine.

So, you have to be sincere. As long as you can be sincere, the ghosts and gods will naturally see it, and they won't blame you. But you know whether your heart is sincere or not, and the demons and gods know it.

Amitabha. Continue to persevere, be dedicated and diligent, and it will be good after this stage.

It is Buddhism to practice all good, not to do evil, and to purify one's mind.

Developing bodhicitta and being disgusted with samva, reciting the Buddha honestly, should come and go.

Don't deliberately think about these questions, Buddha is a Buddha, ghosts and gods are ghosts and gods, it's not the same thing, don't make studying Buddhism the same as superstition. Learning Buddhism is not as simple as chanting the sutra and reciting the Buddha's name, no matter what you do, you must do it from the perspective of conscience, and it is right to do it with a good heart, but it is not what I want to return after I have done many good deeds. If you have this kind of mentality, you are not studying Buddhism, but you are making a high investment in business.

On the contrary, don't take it to heart if you accidentally do something wrong, just pay attention not to make the same mistake next time, who can be blameless if you are not a sage? And if you do it, you can change it. Amitabha.

There are many people like you who have delusions, curse Buddha, and curse God. Delusions are the most difficult to control and are the problems that most Buddhists encounter.

The Buddha taught us to stop contemplating the Dharma and to deal with it.

Cessation means stopping as soon as delusional thoughts arise.

Contemplation is the substitution of pure thoughts for delusions. When delusions arise, immediately think about the 32 aspects of the Buddha, think about the meaning of the Buddhist scriptures, think about the Buddha and bless you, or think about the Buddha's secret mantra seed words, and so on.

There is another method, called the method of indulgence, when an improper thought arises, you ignore it and let it go away on its own, this method is like a person sitting on the bank of a river, watching the flowing water pass away, and the mind has no place to live.

There is another method, we forget its name for a while, so for the time being, it is called the remembrance method, when the thought rises, you don't let it go, observe the source of the thought rising from the **, the tail chases it, and the observation of the thought disappears in the **.

Good luck and may you overcome your delusions.

Can I first ask you why you study Buddhism, so that those ghosts and gods will no longer haunt you? You must know that Buddhism is a kind of belief of human beings, and everyone wants to become a Buddha. But who would know, in fact, Buddha is the general term for those who can benefit sentient beings.

The meaning of truly learning Buddhism is not only to learn Buddhism, but to be able to help more people get rid of suffering. Let people feel that because you are alive, there will be more people who live better, not seeking fame and fortune, but asking for no regrets.

It's completely your psychological effect, since you eat fasting and chant Buddha, don't think so much, there is nothing, there is no reason, you should understand it!

It's okay to relax, don't think about it deliberately, the more you think about it, the more you feel that you haven't done a good job, so let it be.

Whether you believe in ghosts or gods or not, it's just a position you have in your own heart.

First, the mantra for leftovers is a six-character mantra. Usually leftovers or dirty water can be recited in the six-character mantra, and visualize Avalokiteshvara blessing these meals to become clean food, and all the ghosts and gods will come to eat them.

When you recite the six-character mantra, it's not for miscellaneous practice, it's not for survival in the Pure Land, it's for giving food, it's not for miscellaneous practice.

Second, if your parents don't believe in Buddhism, don't persuade them, otherwise it may lead to slander of the Dharma, and you can dedicate your usual recitation of Buddha sutras or other merits to your parents, praying for the blessings of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and for your parents to take refuge in the Three Jewels.

No matter what Buddha you recite or do good deeds, you should dedicate yourself. First of all, dedicate to sentient beings and rebirth in the Western Pure Land, and then think back to your parents or unjust creditors, etc.

Since the evil ghost is called a ghost, it must have two moments, and it will definitely not be so bad that it will have to eat leftovers, which are all messes left over from the evil old society.

Believing in Buddhism does not do people any good.

So don't worry about your mother, she's right, you're superstitious, very superstitious and you're worried about yourself, since she's kind-hearted and eager to help others, then according to Buddhism, even if you don't believe in Buddhism, you won't have any bad karma. Besides, having bad karma can't be eliminated by reciting a few mantras, and then the world is too fucked up.

  12. Anonymous users2024-01-31

One more point. It's better to keep the mantra single-mindedly, not to recite this mantra today and that mantra tomorrow. Be sure to dedicate yourself after reciting the mantra!

And also. Tantra requires a certain level of meditation and cultivation to be learned, and it cannot be learned casually! But some tantric mantras can still be recited, such as: Vajrasattva mantra! Hope it helps! Amitabha.

Practicing the Dharma is cultivating the mind. Leftovers should be eaten if they are not bad to avoid waste. What's the use of chanting mantras?

No matter which discipline you cultivate, you must comprehend it with your heart, not follow the form. Mother doesn't believe it because you're not good enough, understand? If reciting Amitabha Buddha can eliminate karma, there is no need to practice.

  14. Anonymous users2024-01-29

Your question is very good, I also have leftovers at home. I don't know how to deal with it, just like the first floor, it's better to eat the leftovers if they are not bad so as not to waste them, and then there is chanting the Buddha as the main thing, and the mantra is secondary.

If you want to experience the essence of Buddhism, you must start from holding the five precepts, the Buddha said that all living beings are originally Buddhas, and people are Buddhas in the case of pure and no distracting thoughts, and if you want to be pure, you must collect six roots to avoid energy being consumed by foreign objects, the energy of vegetarian meals is relatively high, and the meat is more turbid, after a period of holding the precepts, you will feel a pure and unstained state, and you will feel that things that are unacceptable will feel that it is not a matter at all in a pure state, so you must keep the precepts before learning Buddhism, and learn to be quiet before learning Buddhism.

It is likely that it is still the child, you have this wish, if the child also has a fate with you, it will come again, the so-called "fate gathers and grows together, and fate is scattered". If you come again, you must educate him well from an early age, don't let him go astray, you yourself have to know repentance, ask for the blessing and help of the Buddha and Bodhisattva, ask for the child's forgiveness, resolve this grievance, dissolve, the child will be a filial son and grandson again, if you can't resolve it, then it's troublesome, and the child grows up to be a wrongdoer to take revenge.
