Format of Entry. In 1998, the first New Concept Essay Contest was launched. The "New Concept Essay Contest" for the new century and cultivating new talents was jointly sponsored by seven national key universities, including Peking University, Fudan University, East China Normal University, Nanjing University, Nankai University, Shandong University, and Xiamen University.
Except for the preliminary competition, the number of words required is controlled within 5,000 words, and the contestants are under 30 years old, no registration fee will be charged, and there is no limit. The "New Concept" aims to promote:
"New thinking" - creative and divergent thinking, breaking the shackles of old concepts and norms, breaking through rigidity and conservatism, and advocating unrestrained.
"New expression" - not limited by subject matter and genre, using one's own language full of personality, opposing clichés, opposing the face of a thousand people, and the word of many people.
"True experience" - real, real, sincere, sincere attention, feeling, and experience the activation of Shengchang.
The competition is divided into preliminary round and semi-final. The preliminary competition follows the form of essay collection in general literary journals, with no propositions, no limited themes, and genre albums, with a word count of less than 5,000 words, and has not been published in public journals. The winners of the preliminary round participate in the semi-finals; The semi-finals will be held in an examination room.
The examination questions are selected by secret ballot by secret ballot, and are supervised and impartial by the notary office.
