Today's farmers don't want to farm, mainly because young people have gone out to work, and the older ones can't do it or don't have time to do it, and farming is risky. I am a child of a farmer who has caught the tail of the post-80s, and from elementary school to high school, I am all too familiar with farm work such as planting fields, harvesting rice, removing rice, drying rice, and harvesting scarecrows. If you don't graduate from a good university, or have a skill, working outside, you can generally only choose some simple low-level jobs, basically in the factory or some service industry, many people feel that they have been doing this, there is no room for appreciation, and they can't learn their own skills, and they are getting more and more confused after a long time. A few years later, I will also reach the age of marriage, and the pressure to buy a house will also come, so many people will choose to return home at this time to develop, after all, sooner or later they will come back, hoping to stabilize as soon as possible.

After retirement, the old people in the city can travel around and enjoy their old age in peace. Rural people still have to farm when they are old. Times are different.

And most importantly, now that technology is advanced, we don't need so many people to farm.
