The figure sketch is drawn as follows:Step 1: When sketching, first pay attention to the basic shape, perspective, proportion and composition of the figure's head, that is, the "business position", and distinguish between the large light-receiving surface and the backlit surface.

Step 2: Pay attention to the physical characteristics of the object and find out the change of the boundary between light and dark, which is sharp and slow, and looming. The virtual and real of the boundary line directly illustrate the changes of the form, "stringing" the shape, and closely linking the independent parts.

At different angles of light sources, objects are composed of decent surfaces in different directions, thus showing different shades of hues, and the different hues in turn illustrate the shape.

Step 3: The local in-depth stage generally starts with the strongest and most distinctive part of the head. For example, the nose is the center of the face, the shape is clear and strong, the bottom of the nose and the philtrum are connected with the mouth, and the spherical shape formed by the orbicularis oris muscle makes the upper and lower jaws combined, the eyes in the orbits on both sides of the nose root are vivid, bright and expressive, the eyebrows are outwardly covered on the brow arch bone, the cheekbones extend outward to the ears, and then draw others.
