The score report of the examination subjects is divided into 4 grades (excellent, good, pass, fail), and the score report of the examination subjects is divided into only 2 grades (pass, fail).

2) HKCEE time and subject arrangement.

The cultural subjects of the high school entrance examination are held twice a year, and 10 subjects are taken each time. The first time is arranged about three weeks before the Spring Festival, of which the three subjects of Chinese, mathematics and foreign language are mainly for senior high school candidates, and other subjects are mainly for students who take the exam; The second time is scheduled in mid-June, and 7 subjects, including ideology and politics, physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography, and information technology, are mainly for sophomore high school candidates, and the remaining 3 subjects are mainly for re-examination students, and no make-up examinations will be arranged separately.

The examination time for physics, chemistry and biology experiments is arranged in late June every year, mainly for second-year high school candidates.
