The Silent Truth is adapted from Zijin Chen's ** "The Long Night", after reading the original work, the director was moved by the story content, and hoped to shoot this story, the director paid more attention to the emotions of the characters and the relationship between the characters when creating and designing suspense genre elements.

On July 31, 2019, the drama started filming in Chongqing, and was filmed in Zhuyang Town, Fuling and other places in the middle, which lasted 3 months and was officially completed on October 8.
