Don't look directly with your eyes.
Wearing sunglasses is dangerous.
During the whole process of a total solar eclipse, there are some periods when you cannot see directly with your eyes, otherwise it will cause permanent vision loss and even blindness. Some of the methods we often hear about are actually observation mistakes.
Common observation mistakes.
Although the following methods are widely circulated, they are not scientific and may cause damage to the eyes.
Sunglasses: This is the most dangerous way to observe a total solar eclipse, and direct observation of a total solar eclipse with sunglasses can harm the eyes.
Candle blackened glass: Due to the uneven degree of blackening and the thickness of the glass sheet, the safety of observation cannot be fully guaranteed.
**Negatives: Negatives** are not the same, and the safety of observation cannot be completely guaranteed.
Recommended tools.
Solar eclipse glasses: After wearing solar eclipse glasses, you will not be able to see clearly except the sun. At the same time, the use of eclipse glasses with other optical devices, such as telescopes and cameras, will not be prohibited.
Even if you wear glasses, after lasting**2-3 minutes, let your eyes rest moderately, not for a long time**.
Welding goggles: Note, however, that welding goggles are not the same as sunglasses, which cannot be used to observe a total solar eclipse.
When can I see it with the naked eye?
The whole process of a total solar eclipse is divided into 5 stages, the initial loss, the eclipse, the eclipse, the light, and the round, among them, only in the total eclipse stage, that is, the 4 5 minutes of the eclipse, the eclipse, the eclipse, and the light stage, that is, after it gets dark, you can use the naked eye directly.
If you need to take a photo, you can only take it within 4 to 5 minutes of the total eclipse if you don't have a light reduction device such as a filter, otherwise the camera may burn out.
-
If you don't look directly at it with the naked eye, you won't become blind
It is recommended to look with regular eyes and it's okay.

During a total lunar eclipse, the Moon is in the shadow of the Earth and should be pitch black. But in reality, this dark red light is still the sun's light shining on the surface of the moon. For example, if we look at the chopsticks inserted in the water, the above and underwater parts of the chopsticks look like they are broken, which is the refraction of light.
The same is true of the red moon during a total lunar eclipse, where the sun's rays cannot reach the lunar surface, but through the Earth's atmosphere, it can be refracted to reach the lunar surface. At the same time, sunlight is a mixture of seven colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. This order is arranged in descending order of wavelength, that is, red light has the longest wavelength and is the least affected by the scattering of tiny molecules in the atmosphere, so it can often penetrate from the atmosphere to the lunar surface.
In this way, the "red moon" that is often seen during a total eclipse is the "red moon".
There is only one reason, but the actual situation is ever-changing, sometimes we also see a "gray moon" or a "black moon", etc., which mainly depends on the clarity of the atmosphere, that is, the degree of light transmission.
-
This phenomenon is related to refraction. The sun's rays are refracted as they pass through the Earth's surface atmosphere, so some of the light rays can still reach the Earth's shadow. On the other hand, since the atmosphere scatters most of the blue light, more red light reaches the Moon.
The red light is reflected back from the surface of the moon, so it appears red instead of pitch black.
-
The diffraction of light, red light has a long wavelength, is easy to diffract, and is not easy to scatter, so it is found that most of the light on the moon is red, so it looks red.
-
It's a solar eclipse, this partial lunar eclipse is difficult to see, it only has scientific research value, no ornamental value.
Only partial solar eclipses can be seen, see details.
This is an authoritative release by the Purple Mountain Observatory.
-
It's a once-in-500-year solar eclipse.
It can be seen in the northern part of Hunan.
The Yangtze River basin is the best place to observe.
It is roughly 111 degrees east longitude and 36 degrees north latitude.
-
Well, shouldn't it be a solar eclipse, the Yangtze River basin is the best observation point, and Hunan should be able to see it.
-
The sky does not brighten, and during a total eclipse only the light reflected from the edge of the moon (the middle of the moon is black, which is called a lunar eclipse), and the stars shine or emit light.

Total lunar eclipse from December 10 to 11 (20:46 for the first eclipse, 22:32 for the eclipse, and 0:19 for the 11th of the Restoration).
The observation conditions in China are very good! There is no problem in Xiamen, you can see it!
A total lunar eclipse is not like a total solar eclipse, it can be observed with the naked eye! Upstairs is right, the solar eclipse should use a special Bard membrane.
Hope it helps!
-
Can It not hurt the eyes Only the solar eclipse will hurt the eyes The solar eclipse requires a special Bard membrane.
-
Caused by atmospheric scattering on the Earth's surface!
-
Why is the moon bronze during a total eclipse, the so-called "red moon"? Both the Earth and the Moon do not emit light, and if the Moon does not enter the Earth's umbra and only enters the penumbra, it is called a penumbral lunar eclipse. Penumbral lunar eclipses are not usually called lunar eclipses
-
Yes, there is a total lunar eclipse tonight, and it's a red moon!
-
The most perfect total lunar eclipse in 10 years will take place this evening. At that time, as long as the weather is clear, almost all regions of our country will be able to enjoy a round of "red moon". According to experts, one of the more exciting parts will start at 20:45.
And the "Red Moon", which was completely "eaten", was only about 51 minutes.
-
Yes. China will stage a total lunar eclipse on December 10, and the observation conditions are the best in 10 years.
-
If I'm not mistaken, it starts at 10:07, and there is also the total lunar eclipse that says it starts at 19:33.
-
Yes, the first eclipse of this total lunar eclipse will occur at 20:45 Beijing time on the 10th, the eclipse will be at 22:06 on the 10th, the time of light will be at 22:57 on the 10th, and the recircle will occur at 0:17 on the 11th. Among them, the most exciting total eclipse time is 51 minutes.
