As a result, Sun Wukong couldn't look past this matter, and went directly to the Buddha to reason. At that time, the Buddha told such a story: There was once a monk who had attained the Tao to do things for others, but only received a bucket of rice, and the Buddha disliked him for taking it too cheaply.

Because if you collect so much money for doing a Dharma service, then who will pay more attention to the Dharma in the future?

Only then did Sun Wukong know that if he wanted to obtain the true scriptures, he had to exchange for benefits. So in desperation, Tang Seng had no choice but to take out the purple gold bowl given to him by Tang Emperor Li Shimin back then, which was what Tang Seng used to turn his fate on the way, so that Ananda Kaye gave them the scriptures.

As a result, this is not the end, on the way back from the Tang monk and apprentice to obtain the true scriptures, the Buddha suddenly said that they were nine hundred and eighty-one difficulties and one difficulty, so they let Guanyin Bodhisattva cast a spell to put them in the Tongtian River, and the result was that before they could get the scriptures, some of them were wet and damaged.

Even if these scriptures are taken back to the Tang Dynasty, they will be incomplete.

This makes it difficult to understand, why did the Buddha have to ask Guanyin to cast a spell and the scriptures that he had worked so hard to get fell into the water and were damaged?

Analyzing the root causes, do we have to make the last difficulty successful? In fact, this is all a matter within the system, and it has already achieved positive results, and it has no practical significance at all if it doesn't come in the end. The main reason why the Buddha did this was because he hated one thing, that is, Ananda Kaye sold the scriptures too cheaply.

One purple gold bowl in exchange for so many scriptures, doesn't it seem that my scriptures are too cheap? Therefore, since you give little money, then my scriptures cannot give you too complete, but always damage a part, so that you know that the remaining part is more precious than the complete part.

This is not to say that the Buddha disliked the sale of the price is not good, but the Buddha felt that the scriptures could not be passed on lightly, this is the so-called "law is not lightly transmitted", and the things that can be easily obtained are not good things, just like Sun Wukong learning 72 changes, he has to study secretly in the middle of the night, this is the real good thing, is Bodhi Ancestor willing to pass it on to everyone?

Therefore, Buddhism also has the rules of Buddhism, and there are rules within the system, which is the so-called principle of survival, and later generations must abide by it.

Tang Seng has already obtained the true scriptures, the reason why the Buddha still wants to damage the scriptures is because Buddhism pays attention to ninety-nine to one, and Tang Seng has only gone through eighty difficulties, and there is still one difficulty.

In order to make all the ninety-nine eighty-one difficulties complete, so that Tang Seng can get real liberation, so as to become a real immortal.

Because when they learned the scriptures, they only experienced eighty difficulties, and there was still one difficulty, in order to make up the eighty-one difficulties, and also to test Tang Seng, so they gave Tang Seng a wordless scripture.

Because this is also one of the 81 difficulties. Only through this difficulty will his path be complete, and the scriptures he will receive will be true.

In fact, this is also a rule in Journey to the West, they have to suffer ninety-nine eighty-one difficulties, otherwise they will not be able to become Buddhas at all, so they will have more difficulties in the future.
