Chimpanzees and gorillas are the most intelligent animals with the impression that they are the closest relatives to humans. However, in a ranking of primate IQs recently released by researchers at Harvard University, the top of the list is not chimpanzees and gorillas, but orangutans.
In this ranking of 25 primates, orangutans come out on top for their excellent learning and problem-solving skills. Chimpanzees, often considered to be the closest in intelligence to humans, came in second place, followed by spider apes.
There are some other unexpected findings from the study, such as the fact that gorillas do not have the same IQ as spider apes. The baboon, which had previously been in the top 10 in terms of IQ, fell to 14th place in this ranking.
Conventional wisdom suggests that it makes no sense to compare the IQ of animals of different species, as animal brains have undergone complex changes over millions of years of evolution. And this study shows that despite the differences in evolutionary processes and differences between species, the brain characteristics of all primates show a high degree of uniformity.
Professor Chris Stringer, who studies the origins of humans at the Natural History Museum in London, UK, also believes that the social life patterns of primates are the driving force behind the development of IQ.
The idea that there is a correlation between sociability and IQ has been confirmed in studies of the intelligence levels of cetaceans such as dolphins and whales, as well as avian animals.

With the current progress of zoologists, it has been discovered that there are only three animals other than humans that can feel their presence in a mirror: elephants, dolphins and gorillas. Other animals, such as fish, become aggressive when they see themselves in the mirror, because they cannot recognize themselves in the mirror. If you haven't heard of this example, the story of a dog barking at himself in the water when he saw himself on a bridge must be known to everyone, so much so that he gave the meat and bones he had stolen with great difficulty to the microorganisms in the water.
So, let's take a look at three animals: elephants, dolphins, and gorillas.
When the tsunami struck Indonesia, someone witnessed an elephant curling up its trunk to escape with tourists – perhaps this could be regarded as a sign of the elephant's compassion (hehehe); In a herd of elephants, if one elephant dies, then the other elephants will be very sad - some zoologists have captured a related shot - after the death of a male elephant's spouse, all the elephants turn their noses to the sky, showing a sad look (of course, I don't think I can see the sad look of the elephant, but zoologists should be able to see it!). )
As for dolphins, that's not to mention, the best helpers of the world's most discerning seafarers (in the past, dolphins often helped seafarers drive away sharks, but as for today's ships there is not much to say......It makes people feel like this beautiful creature is like an angel in the water!
And our ancestor orangutans even had such complex feelings as jealousy! I'm not sure if elephants and dolphins really don't have jealousy – maybe because no one has ever tried to deal with elephants and dolphins like Jenny Goodall?
So, I feel that the biggest difference between humans and most other animals is the emotions and the consciousness of the self and the non-self (in addition to the ability to think, of course). If elephants were smaller, and dolphins were terrestrial creatures, then our ancestors would not be chimpanzees, but elephants or dolphins!

To be precise, there are several types of orangutans, and gorillas are just one of them.
-
Orangutan refers to orangutans, which are found in Southeast Asia, such as Sumatra, and are native to Africa and are stronger than orangutans. In general, orangutans are divided into chimpanzees, orangutans (orangutans), gorillas, and bonobos.

If you want to ask about common ground, you should choose A
As for the difference: the genetic difference between humans and orangutans is relatively small, only about 2%. But it is precisely this 2% difference that makes the intelligence, behavior, psychology and physiology of humans and orangutans very different.
Both chimpanzees and humans can get malaria, but the malaria parasite, which can cause chimpanzees, cannot make humans sick, and vice versa.
The humerus of a gorilla is longer than the ulna.
The humerus and ulna are of equal length in humans.
The bones of the upper limbs of the gorillas are longer than the lower limbs.
Humans are the opposite. Gorilla's ribs bulge.
Generally. Gorillas have much thicker bones than humans.

From a zoological point of view, it is impossible to compare the IQ of different types of animals, but one thing is for sure, they are all intelligent in their respective fields.

Humans are tall, have great bodies, and have smart brains.

Orangutans have a huge appetite and sometimes spend an entire day sitting on a fruit tree devouring them. About 60% of its food is fruit—there are hundreds of varieties of fruit, ripe or not; Apes like to eat fruits whose flesh is rich in sugar or fat. Where figs grow, orangutans will eat this mild fruit as their main food, as it is abundant and easy to obtain and digest. >>>More

Orangutans are primates, suborder eumonkeys, and narrow-nosed monkeys. In this sense, orangutans are a type of monkey. But to elaborate, the orangutan is a kind of ape superfamily under the order Primate, the suborder of true monkeys, and the narrow-nosed monkey suborder, so it is not a type of monkey. >>>More
