What is the history of the main building of the White Cloud Temple?

Baiyun Temple was founded in the Tang Dynasty, formerly known as Tianchang Temple, and was built in the tenth year of the Tang Dynasty (722). Now there is a white marble statue of Laojun in the temple, Laojun sits on a rectangular stone chair, smiling, and his eyes are bright. The carving is fine, the image is realistic, and it is the top product of our country's carving art.

Later, this temple was destroyed by fire, and was rebuilt in the 14th year of Dading of the Jin Dynasty (1174), with a larger scale and more majestic magnificence. There are more than 150 halls and corridors in the view, and it has been renamed "Ten Directions Great Heaven and Long View".

The altitude of Baiyun Mountain is 1300 meters, the top of the mountain is like a yarn of white clouds all the year round, the ancient trees in the mountain are towering to the sky, and the pines and cypresses are forested. The thousand-year-old temple Baiyun Temple was built in the Song Ren Song Dynasty, the temple has built the Daxiong Treasure Palace, the Zhai Hall, the Guanyin Pavilion, known as the "first Zen forest in Fujian", the worshippers are endless, the Phoenix Lake is located in the belly Guishan Col of the highest point of the Baiyun Mountain, the high gorge is out of the Ping Lake, the perennial clouds and mist in the lake are ethereal, put yourself in it, make people like being in the fairyland, float like immortals. The magical chessboard ancient stone and fairy cave are wonderful and beautiful.

Baiyun Temple, said to be the site of Lao Tzu's cultivation. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, Jiangxi Taoist Yang Changfu visited here to build a Taoist temple, because he picked up a stone inkstone when digging the foundation, and engraved the word "white cloud" on it, so it was named after it.

During the Cultural Revolution, the party secretary of the Baiyun Commune at that time forced the so-called black five elements (landlords, rich peasants, counter-revolutionaries, bad elements, and rightists) to destroy the Baiyun Temple. It was a sunny day, but when everyone was working hard, suddenly the wind was loud, lightning and thunder, and torrential rain poured down, and the wind, rain, thunder and lightning were only raging in the small places on Baiyunguan Mountain. The people were so frightened that they hurriedly knelt down and kowtowed, saying, "God, we are forced, and if you want to be angry, send it to those who have forced us!"

However, after the wind and rain, the Baiyun Temple has been completely destroyed.

Baiyun Temple was restored and opened in 1999 and is now listed as one of the three major religious sites in the southwest, and the incense is gradually flourishing.

The central building of Baiyun Temple is Qiu Zu Palace, the original name of this sedan chair hall is Shun Hall, built in the 22nd year of Yuan Taizu, the building is grand and towering. There is a statue of a mound sitting in the hall, holding a wishful hand and a dignified face. According to records, the original murals in the hall such as the journey to the west of Changchun and the portraits of the eighteen grandmasters, but they no longer exist.

The remains of Qiu Chuji are under the demolition hall, and there is a gall bowl in the hall, which is carved from the roots of an ancient tree, and placed on a stone seat of white marble. The body of the bowl is engraved with "Fan Zheng Daqing Emperor Qianlong Emperor 20 years ordered to rebuild the arch of the original view".
