Babies hear it, the sages of the ancients, full and know the hunger of people, warm and know the cold of people, easy and know the labor of people, and now you don't know it. Gong said: "Good!

The widow is fateful. "It is to order the hair to be furrowed, and to be hungry and cold. Let those who see it in Tu do not ask where they are; Those who see it in it do not ask about their homes; Follow the country count, without words.

Those who are both in business and in the month, and those who are sick are also old. When Confucius heard this, he said: "Yan Zi can know what he wants, and Jing Gong can do what he wants."

It is commanded that whoever sees a man who is hungry or cold on the way, without asking him which village he is, and if he sees a man who is hungry or cold in Lilu, without asking him which house he is, he should go around the whole country and give them a count, and not give them their names. Those who have already served will be given two months' relief food, and those who are sick will be given two years' relief food. When Confucius heard this, he said:
