Boost WiFi signal with router with WDS relay Method: Set up wireless bridging.
Primary Router Settings].
1. Enter the settings interface of the main router, then click [Running Status] in the left option bar, and you can find the DNS server in the WAN port status bar, there are two in total, the primary DNS and the alternative DNS server, record them.
2. Click [Network Parameters] - LAN Port Settings] to set the LAN address of the router to save, at this time, it will be restarted and then return to the settings interface and click [Wireless Settings] - Basic Settings.
3. Set the SSID to TP Link A. Set the wireless channel to: 11. Note: The WDS or Bridge feature must be turned off.
4. Click [Wireless Settings] - Wireless Security Settings, and select WPA-PSK as the encryption method, in this example, 12345678 as an example. Note: WPA WPA2 encryption is more secure and more stable to bridge than the old WE encryption, so WPA WPA2 encryption is recommended.
5. Click [DHCP Server] -- DHC Server Settings] and set [Address Pool Start Address] to; Set the End Address of Address Pool to .
Click Save to restart the primary router. The main router is set up.
Set up the secondary router].
1. Enter the settings interface of the secondary router.
2. Click [Network Parameters] --LAN Port Settings.
3. Set the LAN address of the secondary router to prevent conflicts with the main router, and it is also convenient to manage the main and secondary routers.
4. Click [Wireless Settings] - Basic Settings.
5. Set the SSID to TP Link-B. Set the wireless channel to: 11.
6. Check [Turn on WDS], click Scan in the pop-up interface, find the SSID of the main router after getting the AP list, that is, TP Link A, click the [Connect] button on the right, select WPA-PSK as the encryption method, fill in the key of the main route: 12345678, (keep it consistent with the main router), and click Save.
7. Because the new WDS function is different from the old bridge and more advanced, you only need to turn on WDS on all secondary routers and fill in the information of the main router, if the main router turns on the WDS or bridge function, please turn it off, otherwise the WDS function cannot be used.
8. Click [Wireless Settings] - Wireless Security Settings
Here you set the password for the secondary route wireless.
9. Click [DHCP Server] -- DHCP Server Settings], change [Address Pool Start Address] to [Address Pool Start Address] to [Address Pool Start Address]. [Gateway] Fill in the IP address of the main router, that is. The primary and alternate DNS servers fill in the previously recorded addresses and save and restart the router.
10. The setting is complete and the connection is successful.

Sorry, you need to set up a wireless bridge in the primary router! That is, you need to have the management authority to log in to the wireless router of Telecom, and you can't have it, so this way is not working!

1. Name the router in the computer room Router A, the router in the living room as Router B, and Router B as the TP-Link router, first check the IP address of Router B (see the manual or the label on the back of the router), if the IP address of the router is the same, you need to modify the IP of one of the routers, I modify the IP of Router A as an example.
2. Enter "Router A's IP" in the browser address bar of your mobile phone), enter your account password to log in, and click "Network Parameters" - "LAN Port Settings".
3. Change the IP address of the router to ", and then save and exit;
4. If the IP addresses of the routers are not the same, you can skip the above steps. Connect to Router B, enter "Router B's IP" in the browser address bar of your mobile phone to enter the main page.
5. Click "Setup Wizard" and then "Next", and select "Relay Mode" in the "Setup Wizard - Working Mode" page
6. Click "Next" to enter the "Setup Wizard - Wireless Settings" page, and click "Scan";
7. The "AP" information list will pop up, where the SSID is the SSID name of the wireless WiFi and the BSSID is the MAC address of the wireless WiFi. Select the wifi you want to relay and enlarge and click "Connect";
8. SSID and BSSID will be automatically filled, and then select the encryption method (the encryption method should be consistent with the encryption method of the original WiFi), fill in the password, and then save;
9. Finally, restart the router and it will take effect.
-
2.To check the basic settings in the wireless settings, the information you need to record is the WiFi name (SSID) of router A, the key and the type of key. Save the channel from automatic to 11 (this can also be changed to something else, it is better to change it to the channel used when automatic) remember this channel.
Saving generally restarts the router.
3.Check the DHCP service in the DHCP server, the DHCP server is enabled, the address at the beginning of the address pool remains unchanged, and the address at the end of the address pool is changed from Save. The operation of Router A is complete.
4.View wireless router B, go to Setup Router B with administrator privileges, change the IP address to save in the LAN port settings in the network parameters, and log in to Wireless Router B again (IP is the basic settings in the wireless settings, set the SSID (wifi name) of router B, and select 11 channel (consistent with Router A).
Tick to enable WDS, click Scan below, an AP list will appear, find the SSID of router A here and click Connect, select the key type is the same as that of route A (generally wap-psk wap2-psk), fill in the key of route A and click Save.
5.Enter Router B through administrator privileges, in the DHCP service of the DHCP server, the DHCP server is enabled, the address pool start address is changed to the address pool end address unchanged, the gateway is changed to Route A, the primary DNS server fills in the first value of the DNS of Route A recorded earlier, and the standby DNS server fills in the second value. Save the reboot.
Now Route B can access the Internet.
6.Finally, router B has not set a password yet, and enters router B to set a password to save it in the wireless security settings of the wireless settings through administrator permissions.

In home wireless networks, the Wi-Fi transmission distance is an important factor affecting the wireless rate. Here's how to remove WiFi obstacles and sharpen the WiFi signal. Solve the problem of weak wifi signal.
Therefore, in the process of placing the wireless router, we should not only place the router in the center of wireless activities to provide the best wireless coverage for wireless applications, but also try to avoid those objects that hinder the wireless signal the most, such as concrete floor slabs, load-bearing walls, etc., to reduce the degree of signal attenuation.
In addition, too many wireless signal sources around are also an important factor causing Wi-Fi signal attenuation, especially when it occurs in adjacent channels, and the interference of wireless signals will be serious. At this point, we can solve the problem by changing the wireless channel.
First, look at the channel occupancy of the surrounding network. **After installation, run Biyounian inssider, switch to the "Networks" tab in the main interface, in the list, we can see all the Wi-Fi networks that we are currently using and around us, where the "Channel" column shows the channels that these networks currently occupy (Figure 1), Check whether these channels are the same or adjacent to your own Wi-Fi network (the signal of one channel will interfere with the two adjacent channels at the same time, that is, the signal of channel 6 will affect channel 5 and channel 7), if so, you can enter the router settings interface to change it to other.
Take the TL-WR740N router as an example. Enter in the address bar of your browser.
Enter. Enter your username and password (both are admin by default) in the screen that appears, and click the "Confirm" button (Figure 2). Enter the router settings interface.
Select the "Wireless Settings Basic Settings" item on the left side, then on the right side, click the drop-down arrow in the "Channel" item, set the channel to Other, click the "Save" button, and finally select the "System Tools Restart Router" item on the left side, restart the router to make the settings take effect.

Enhance Relay Wireless Router Signal Acceptance Method: Homemade WiFi Signal Booster.
Step 1: Take a used beer can and wash it.
Step 2: Pull out the tab.
Step 3: Remove the entire bottom by making a circumferential cut along the bottom of the tank.
Step 5: Draw a line vertically on the reverse side of the left part and cut the iron sheet along the line.
Step 6: Iron sheet, so that the aluminum can retains part attached to the base, pass the antenna through the mouth of the can, and fix the bottom of the can with landing.
The Wi-Fi signal amplifier is complete, as shown below:
-
There are some ways to enhance the wireless signal, and it is unrealistic for you to connect a wire from the inside, because you are not a professional. The method is generally to buy a high-power wireless receiving antenna (some have an extension cord that can be extended to the outside, it doesn't matter if there is none, the power is large enough), so that your original wireless antenna is to be removed, replaced with a newly bought antenna, and then remember that the antenna has directional and omnidirectional, if there are only one or two computers recommended to use directional, the antenna should be aligned to avoid blocking.
-
This model is welded to death, and it is difficult for ordinary people to get it, and it is easy to not get a signal if it is not well connected, so it is not easy to do it.
-
Bridging two wireless routers with the same model can expand the wireless coverage area.

1. About the choice of router.
The router is more casual, as long as the WDS function is written on it when you buy it. But it is still recommended to buy a router of the same brand, for example, if you have a tplink now, then buy another tplink. Because routers of the same brand use the same mechanism, it is easier to connect and there will be no incompatibility.
For example, once I used Leike to connect with iptime, but at the highest security level, I couldn't connect. )
2. Installation method.
Take TPLink as an example, enable WDS in the WAN port settings, and fill in the MAC address and SSID of the other router. Both routers need to be set up. And ensure that the two routers use the same SSID and the same channel.
3. Do I need to be wired?
Your first router needs to be connected to the internet through the line given to you by your broadband provider. The second router, on the other hand, does not need to plug in the network cable, only needs the power supply. Because between the two routers, information is transmitted by wireless signals.
If you have any questions, just keep asking.
It's not easy to type, so please detour your friends. Thank you.

1. It is best to have a WDS route of the same model. 2. What is your purpose for turning on WSD? I'm just using it as a signal booster.
My main route is 50m away from my laptop and separated by 4 walls, so I had to use it as a last resort. 3. The main route is almost not set up, just like a separate route. 4. WDS is enabled for the secondary route, and the information of the main route can be filled in the options.
5. If you don't succeed, ask me again.
-
Is your room big? 120 square meters with a wireless router will do.

It is recommended to buy TP-link's TL-WR710N, this is what I use, it is small in size and beautiful in appearance, hehe;
The installation is very simple, just set it to relay mode or bridge mode according to the manual;
