Humans want to protect animals" In a large dense forest, a clear stream flows by, the side of the stream is full of colorful flowers, and on the bank of this wildflower-filled river there is a small wooden house, and in the wooden house lives an old hunter. One day, the old hunter put on his clothes, picked up his shotgun, and went out hunting. The little monkey in the tree happily said to the hunter

Good morning, hunter! What are you going to do? The hunter said

I'm going to hunt bunnies. "The hunter walked and walked, and saw a little rabbit, and the little rabbit also saw the hunter, and immediately ran away. The hunter hurried after him.

The little rabbit ran to the hole and told the lion about it. And the lion came out of his burrow. Before the lion could be found, the lion pounced on the hunter.

The lion said to the old hunter, "You humans should protect our animals!" The hunter agreed, and the lion let go of the hunter and went home rejoicing.

"A True Story" tells the story of Xu Xiujuan.

In October 1964, Xu Xiujuan was born in a Manchu fisherman family in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, and she received a good family education since she was a child. In August 1981, Xu Xiujuan, who was just 17 years old, followed her father Xu Tielin to Zhalong Nature Reserve to raise cranes.

Raising cranes is the most tiring part of the reserve. Xu Xiujuan carried water, prepared food, fed the cranes, released the cranes, cleaned the crane house, diagnosed and treated the sick cranes, and did a very good job, and the survival rate of the young cranes she raised alone reached 100%. Domesticated cranes can dance and fly at the behest of humans.

National leaders came to inspect the reserve, Zeng Xu Xiujuan's crane taming performance, and the crane taming technology of Zhalong Nature Reserve was also famous at home and abroad.

On the night of September 15, 1987, she died in the Fudui River in search of a lost crane. Xu Xiujuan is the first martyr on China's environmental protection front to die in the line of duty, and she dedicated her 23-year-old youth to the cause of crane farming that she loved and worked hard all her life.

In order to commemorate this young crane angel, Yancheng, Jiangsu Province and Zhalong Nature Reserve in Qiqihar City have built memorial halls and monuments respectively to publicize Xu Xiujuan's deeds and stimulate people's enthusiasm for loving nature, protecting wild animals, and living in harmony with nature.
