The plane was called the "Flyer-1," and its inventors were the American brothers Wilbur Wright and Oville Wright. In 1903, they built the first manned aircraft to fly under its own power, the Flyer 1, with a wingspan of meters, an elevator in front and rudder in the rear, two sets of two-bladed propellers driven by chains, a skid-type landing device, and a 70-kilogram, kilowatt-powering four-cylinder engine.
This famous aircraft in the history of aviation is now on display at the Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C., USA. From December 14 to 17, 1903, the Aviator L made its fourth test flight on a sand dune in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, USA. Due to the failure of the control system, the plane stalled and fell when it flew more than 100 meters, and Feng Ru was seriously injured and died after rescue efforts failed, becoming the first pilot in China to crash the plane.

In February 1911, Feng Ru refused many offers from the United States and returned to China with his assistant and two planes. After the Xinhai Revolution, Feng Ru was appointed as a flight captain by the Guangdong Revolutionary Army. On August 25, 1912, Feng Ru was unfortunately wrecked and died in the Yantang air show in Guangzhou, and was posthumously awarded the rank of major general of the army.
When Feng Ru was dying, he instructed his comrades: "After I die, don't lose your enterprising spirit because of me."
