Tang Seng s three apprentices are so powerful, why don t they carry Tang Seng across the river?

Because carrying a mortal across a river is like carrying a mountain. "Journey to the West" is a household name in my country, everyone knows it, everyone should be familiar with the story, so there is no need to say too much here.

I believe that when you watch "Journey to the West", you must be full of confusion like this: Sun Wukong somersault cloud went 108,000 miles, why didn't he just fly to the west with Tang Seng directly? On the way to learn the scriptures, the Heishui River is turbulent, Bajie, Sha Seng, and Wukong will all drive the clouds, wouldn't it be good for them to carry Tang Seng across the river directly, why spend "the power of nine cows and two tigers" to go through twists and turns?

This point has been explained in the original work: after a cultivator realizes the true immortal, the reason why he can soar through the clouds and fog is because he has been "reborn" and got rid of the stinky skin, and only the self-nature true spirit is vacated, so there is no weight in the lightness; But the flesh and blood of mortals are like "mountains" to them.

Spells like "Cloud Driving" are impossible to carry ordinary people, Tang Seng was on the road, and he originally had a similar proposal, but he was immediately taught a lesson by Zhu Bajie, Sha Seng and others, and then there was no such idea.

But then again, Bajie, the sand monk can't carry mortals, can't he become a powerful Monkey King? In the book, the King of Silver Horn used the method of moving mountains to suppress Sun Wukong with the Buddhist saint Mount Meru and the Taoist holy mountain Mount Emei, but the latter "shouldered two mountains and walked like flying";

is like "carrying the mountain and catching the moon", the silver horn king, who has practiced with Taishang Laojun and has seen a lot since childhood, was frightened and trembled. "True Mountain", he can still carry it; Tang Seng is a "rockery", can't he carry it?

Sun Wukong can carry it, but his thoughts go further: he actually knew that there were "ninety-nine eighty-one difficulties" on the westbound road, and if he carried Tang Seng at this time, there would be one more difficulty to make up the number in the future. Therefore, he was "happy to be idle."

If you are willing to use your magical powers to tell the mystery of ascension, the masters and apprentices will also cross a thousand rivers; Just because I knew in my heart that the number of Tang Seng's ninety-nine was not finished, there should be a difficulty, so I was detained here.

Because these 108,000 miles can only rely on Tang Seng to walk over by himself, otherwise he can directly let Sun Wukong carry him from the Eastern Tang Dynasty to the Western Heavens.

This is, of course, to consider the development of the plot, if Tang Seng's three apprentices can carry Tang Seng across the river, then the content of Journey to the West will become very simple and not dramatic.

In Journey to the West, the ordinary river is crossed by a white dragon horse, but when he reaches the West Heaven, the river must wash away the mortal body, so he can only cross it by himself.

Because Tang Seng accepted a total of three apprentices, the eldest apprentice Sun Wukong, the second apprentice Zhu Bajie, and the third apprentice Sha Seng. The little white dragon is not Tang Seng's apprentice but his mount, which is very clear in "Journey to the West".

If the Buddha asked Guanyin Bodhisattva to find someone to learn the scriptures, Guanyin Bodhisattva found Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie and Sha Seng and clearly asked them to worship Tang Seng as a teacher. Regarding the little white dragon, Guanyin Bodhisattva made it clear in front of the Jade Emperor that he wanted the little white dragon to assume the responsibility of Tang Seng's foot power.

Therefore, Tang monks and apprentices are four instead of five.

It's like acting in a movie, someone is playing an animal, so you can't count people, you still count a group of four.

Because it's just four masters and apprentices. Xiao Bailong did not worship Tang Seng as a teacher, he was not Tang Seng's apprentice, he did not have a law name, and he was just Tang Seng's mount. So he can't be tied with Sun Wukong and them.

Strictly speaking, it is actually five masters and apprentices, but the little white dragon turned into a white dragon horse, which is the mount of Tang Seng, and the four masters and apprentices generally do not include the white dragon horse.

Tang monk and apprentice, originally four people, the white dragon horse is a mount, can not be called a person, so can not be called Tang monk master and apprentice, five is four years a horse.

The master and apprentice are the master and the apprentice, and the white dragon horse does not belong to Tang Sheng's apprentice, so it can't be counted.

Is there Tang Seng, Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, Sha Seng, and the horse, all of them are said to be horses, and there are five people, of course, four people.

Each returned to the fiefdom. Sun Wukong was named the Buddha of Dou Victory, returned to Mount Emei, Zhu Bajie was named the messenger of the Pure Altar, returned to the Pure Altar Temple, and the sand monk was named the Golden Arhat and stayed in the West Heaven.

The Monkey King Sun Wukong returned to Huaguo Mountain, the envoy of Zhu Bajie Jingtan went to Huashan, and Sha Wujing went to the West Heaven Rulai Buddha to be an Arhat.

Zhu Bajie became the messenger of the pure altar and was responsible for the incense statistics of the Buddhist family. Fighting to defeat the Buddha and the golden-bodied Arhat is similar to the work of a thug. It's just that under the heavenly court system, the status of the Buddha is higher than that of the Bodhisattva, and the Bodhisattva is higher than that of the Arhat.
