Hoffenheim is just a village in the city of Sinsheim. And on the map of Germany, not to mention Hoffenheim, even Sinsheim is difficult to find. The city is located between Mannheim and Heidelberg.
In German, Hoffenheim means happy home. Hoffenheim has a train station, but the trains that pass through it are just the old and old country line. There are only about 3,000 villagers in this small village.

On 24 January 2009, the Rhine-Neckar Arena was inaugurated with a 6-2 victory between Hoffenheim and the Rhine-Neckar regional team.
The stadium's first official match was a 2-0 Bundesliga win over Cottage Bs on 31 January 2009.

Hoffenheim used the Dietmar Hopp Stadion, built in 1999, as its home stadium with a capacity of 5,000 spectators, 1,620 of whom were seated.
In 2006, Hoffenheim's management decided to build a new 30,500-seat Rhein-Neckar-Arena with a format suitable for Bundesliga matches. The original site was Heidelberg, but it was not possible to reach an agreement with the local ** on environmental protection. Construction of a new stadium in Sinsheim, with a population of only 35,000, was finally found opposite the "Auto- und Technikmuseum Sinsheim", which began on 25 May 2007 and is expected to open in January 2009.
The new stadium could be one of the stadiums for the 2011 Women's World Cup.

On July 22, 2011, Hoffenheim Club officially announced that the club has become a business partner with Walsall Solar, a well-known German solar energy technology company, on a three-year contract. For three years, Hoffenheim's home stadium, the Rhein-Neckar Arena, will be named the Walsall Rhein-Neckar Arena.
