'Fatigue of life and death. From greed': This means that from greed comes the feeling of endless suffering.

These sufferings are all due to the pursuit of the five desires and the creation of all kinds of sinful karma, so that in the sea of life and death, life and death, we are constantly running back and forth without stopping. The reason why sentient beings are tired and running around on the path of life and death is, simply put, due to the greed for the five desires. The Buddha also told us in the scriptures:

Greed is the root of life and death. Greed is the cause of the fatigue of life and death for all sentient beings, and if we want to think about life and death, we must stay away from greed and do nothing. In terms of the living environment, be at peace with what you encounter, don't be insatiable, in order to get true liberation.

Less desire and inaction. Be at ease with your body and mind': this is what we are taught to do to cure many.

'Less desire' is the pleasure of the five desires in the world, don't pursue too much, it's better not to pursue it anymore. 'Wu Wei' means Wu Wei. This is the natural truth, take the six dusts and the six roots as an example, since they are not greedy for the six dusts, the six roots are naturally separated from the six dusts and away from the six dusts, so there is naturally the joy of 'doing nothing' and there is no suffering.

To put it simply, 'less desire' means that there is no greed outside;'Doing nothing' means asking for nothing. Since they are not greedy and do nothing inside and outside, they will naturally be at ease, and they will no longer be involved in the sea of life and death by the five desires. 'Mind and body at ease' means the joy of being at ease.

There is no obstacle to the advancement and retreat of the body, which is called the body; The mind can be freed from the bondage of troubles, and the mind can be at ease. In other words, being able to leave birth, old age, sickness, and death is called free; If you can get rid of birth, dwelling, alienation, and destruction, then your mind is at ease. It says:

Those who have little desire will not bend to seek people's opinions, nor will they be led by the roots. Those who do little desire have a calm heart and have no worries; There is more than enough to touch, and there is always no deficiency. Those who have less desires have nirvana.

Less desire can generate all kinds of merits, and no desire can receive endless benefits. To put it simply, all beings in the Nine Dharma Realms are capable of doing things, and only the Buddha alone can be called truly liberated and free.

All distracting thoughts originate from greed. Deep in the world, I can't help myself.

From "The Buddha Says the Eight Great People Enlightenment Sutra [1]".

First Enlightenment: Impermanence in the World; The land is fragile, the four great bitter emptiness, the five yin and selflessness, the mutation of birth and death, hypocrisy and ownerlessness, the heart is the source of evil, the form is sin, such as observation, gradually separated from life and death. Second Awareness:

Lust for suffering; Fatigue of life and death, starting from greed, less desire and inaction, physical and mental ease. The third awareness: the mind is not tired, but it asks too much and increases its sins; Bodhisattvas do not think of contentment, peace and poverty, but wisdom is karma.

Fourth Awareness: Slackness and Fall; Always be diligent, break through troubles and evil, destroy the four demons, and get out of the hell. Fifth Enlightenment:

Foolish life and death; Bodhisattvas always think, learn a lot, increase wisdom, achieve eloquence, educate everything, and enjoy great happiness.

There's no need to study this, it's not a cosmic truth, it's all conjecture, there's no factual basis, and that's not the case.

Desire and suffering: The more you want to get, the more you want is painful, and you feel physically and mentally exhausted because your desires cannot be satisfied. The less you want to get, the more you don't have to do anything, and your body and mind will be very comfortable.

Talk about whether human beings can overcome desires.

The one you are talking about is when someone gives you a sum of money to kill a beautiful woman who makes you tempted, and the desire for money overcomes the desire of the beautiful woman, so that person kills the beautiful woman. But after you have money, you will have a desire for beautiful women and pay money.

However, the main root of wisdom is precept and concentration, so the introductory work of practice should start from two aspects: self-cultivation and mind cultivation. Fixing out bad thoughts is called mind cultivation, and the main work of mind cultivation is meditation. The main work of self-cultivation is to keep the precepts, and the purpose of the precepts is to guard the gate of the root gate to protect the six roots, so that bad things from the six root gates will slip into our hearts, so as to plant the seedlings of the flow of life and death.
