According to our understanding, wouldn't it be clearer if we added an S after you to indicate "you"? However, for students who have been learning English for a while, no one will care about this question, and no one will ask it, but it is reasonable to think that you should use "you". Why?

It's not that we "understand", it's that we "accept". Therefore, for the parts of English that cannot be "understood", there is no need to spend time to analyze, just treat it as an existing phenomenon and memorize it mechanically, and after a long time, it will naturally be able to "accept", although we may think that we "understand".

First of all, it is necessary to keep a grammar book, and recommend Zhang Daozhen grammar, or thin ice grammar. Then be sure to look up the dictionary more! I usually like to emphasize this with students in class.
