1. Paper specification: generally vertical, the size is 69cm 34cm or 48cm 34cm.

2. Writing content: According to the requirements of the competition, write the designated seal carving or regular script works, or it may be free creation.

3. Use a pen: use a hard pen, common such as fountain pens and pencils.

4. Writing requirements: neat, upright, reasonable structure and beautiful layout. In general, the number of words per line should not exceed 20 words, and the number of words per page should not exceed 40 words.

The theme of the competition is "Writing Classics, Inheriting Civilization". The content of the writing must be selected from classic Chinese poetry and literature, and can also be selected from the Chinese textbook studied. It must be written in standardized Chinese characters, and must not use traditional characters and variant characters, and eliminate the "two simplified" characters, and shall not appear self-made words and typos.

Student Awards: Grand Prize, First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize, and Excellence Award. They are selected according to the categories and the proportion of soft and hard pen works.

Teacher Awards: The Best Instructor Award and the Outstanding Instructor Award are awarded to the instructors of the students with the Grand Prize and the First Prize respectively.

Organizational Unit Awards: The Best Organizational Unit Award and the Outstanding Organizational Unit Award are set up. The selection is based on the proportion of the number of students participating in the organization, the quality of the submitted works and the organization of publicity work.

1.Group and style requirements.

1) There are 8 groups: Primary School Group 1 (Grades 1-3), Primary School Group 2 (Grades 4-6), Junior High School Group (Grades 7-9), High School Group (Ordinary High School Students), Secondary Vocational Group (Secondary Vocational School), University Group (Students and Graduate Students at All Levels and Colleges and Universities), Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese Group, and International Students in China.

2) It is divided into 6 types of calligraphy: soft pen regular script, soft pen official script, soft pen line book, hard pen regular script, hard pen official book, hard pen line book. Each contestant can only submit 1 book category for the final submission; The preliminary and semi-final rounds will be arranged by each competition area.

2.Specifications and judging principles of the work.

Improving students' ability to standardize the writing of Chinese characters, guiding them to love the motherland's writing and calligraphy art, and being familiar with and close to the classics have an important impact on cultivating young people's rich humanistic qualities and aesthetic tastes, inheriting and carrying forward the excellent Chinese cultural traditions, and are also the requirements for implementing the "Writing Law" to implement standardized Chinese characters. In 2009, the "Competition" held by the Department of Language Application Management of the Ministry of Education produced a large number of outstanding works, showing the students' high level and achievements in Chinese character writing. In order to continue to guide and promote the promotion of standardized Chinese character writing education and the improvement of students' writing skills through national competitions, it is decided to hold the "National Student Standardized Chinese Character Writing Competition" every year in accordance with the spirit of the relevant documents and key points of work of the Ministry of Education.

In order to further implement the spirit of the latest instructions of the leaders of the Ministry of Education on strengthening the standardization of Chinese character writing education, (in charge of the Ministry of Education) the Chinese Chinese Newspaper Association, the Exhibition Department of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, the Professional Committee of the Chinese Chinese Newspaper Association, the "Language World" Magazine, and the Xiling Seal Publishing House have successfully held four national standardized Chinese character writing competitions with the support and care of the Department of Pragmatics and the Department of Language and Information of the Ministry of Education, which has played a role in encouraging the whole people to learn Chinese character writing and improve cultural literacy. In 2010, the "Fifth National Standard Chinese Character Writing Competition" was jointly sponsored by the above five units, which was organized by the Professional Committee of Standardized Chinese Character Writing of the Chinese Chinese Press Association and the "Language World" magazine.
