As a result, turtles are particularly susceptible to illness or infection at this time.

Therefore, for newly hatched turtles, do not allow them to hibernate for the first two years, and provide the right temperature to keep them active.

A week before the turtle hibernates, they should be stopped feeding and placed in warm water, otherwise the turtle's food and feces will accumulate in the body during the hibernation period, which can easily cause gastroenteritis.

Before the tortoises hibernate, they should be provided with a suitable hibernation environment by finding a container, putting soft mud or sand in it, and then placing the tortoise in it.

And be sure to keep the hibernation environment suitable. First of all, it is necessary to ensure high humidity, otherwise the turtle will die of lack of water. And in the hibernation environment, the temperature should not drop below 5 °C, otherwise the turtle will freeze to death.
