IELTS test categories

1. Listening. 2. Read.

Category A: Reading consists of three articles, generally selected from books, magazines, periodicals, newspapers, but at least one article will contain a detailed discussion. There are a total of 40 questions and the exam duration is 1 hour.

Category G: A total of 5 passages are read, mainly based on materials from daily life in English-speaking countries, and the ability to understand and use everyday information is tested. There are 40 questions in total, and the exam time is 1 hour.

3. Writing. Category A: Writing consists of two tasks. Short Essay: Write according to a diagram, 150 words. Big Essay: Writing for Ideas, 250. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes.

Category G: Writing consists of two tasks. Short essay: Write a letter according to the requirements, 150 words. Large Essay: Write from an opinion, 250 words, 60 minutes for the exam.

4. Speaking. Speaking is conducted through a face-to-face interview with an examiner. The exam examines daily conversations, topic descriptions, and interactive discussions and lasts 11-14 minutes.
