In the author's opinion, the above two views basically still fail to accurately grasp the style of the poem, and far-fetched misinterpret the artistic conception of the poem, which also reduces its style and taste to a certain extent. In fact, this is a typical homesick song, and from the inside of the poem, it reflects the author's infinite longing for his hometown relatives; From the outside of the poem, it shows the profound disasters brought by the "Anshi Rebellion" to the general public. To understand this poem, it is necessary to combine the background of the time in which the poet lived and the grammatical characteristics of ancient poems.

In the last years of Tang Tianbao, the "Anshi Rebellion" broke out, and Zhang Ji lived in Yuewu (now Shaoxing and Suzhou) from the northwest. Based on the available information, we can only know for sure that the poet was in this area in the second year of the first year of Zhide (756 757), and it is difficult to determine when he was a guest in the old Su. Although the poet drifted to the south of the Yangtze River, he was still concerned about the war in the north, and most of his poems of this period revealed this mentality.

It can be seen that the "Anshi Rebellion" also brought suffering to the people of Jiangnan.

During Zhang Ji's stay in Gusu, he also wrote such a poem "The Matter of the Gate": "The cultivator recruits the ship-by-building boat, and the spring grass is green and green; Try to go to Wumen to peep at the county Guo, there are new smoke in several places in Qingming. The poem reflects that the peasants were recruited into the army, the old motivation in the countryside was lacking, and the cultivated fields were largely barren.
