During the reign of Tang Tianbao, Wang Lun heard that the great poet Li Bai was living in the house of his uncle Li Bingyang in Nanling, so he wrote a letter to invite Li Bai to his home as a guest. The letter said:
Mr. Swimming? There are ten miles of peach blossoms here. Is it good to drink?
There are 10,000 hotels here. Li Bai was a good drinker, and he heard such a beautiful scenery, so he gladly accepted the invitation, but he did not see the grand scene mentioned in the letter. Wang Lun was hospitable, took out the wine made from the water of Peach Blossom Pond and drank it with Li Bai, and told Li Bai with a smile
The peach blossom is also famous for ten miles of pond water, and there is no peach blossom for ten miles. Wanjia, the owner of the hotel is surnamed Wan, not Wanjia. Li Bai laughed more than once he heard it, and did not think that he was fooled, but was moved by Wang Lun's hospitality, coinciding with the spring breeze peach and plum blossoms, the mountains are everywhere flying red, and the pool water is deep and blue, clear and crystalline, and the green mountains are reflected, Wang Lun stayed Li Bai for several days, treated each other with fine wine every day, and sent eight famous horses and ten official brocades from time to time.

Li Bai was deeply grateful to Wang Lun for his kindness, and wrote a poem "Gift to Wang Lun":
Li Bai was about to go on a boat, and suddenly heard the sound of singing on the shore.
The Peach Blossom Lake is a thousand feet deep, not as deep as Wang Lun to send me love."
This poem describes the friendship between friends, which is sincere and touching through the ages. In the poem, Wang Lun walked barefoot and sang and chased to the scene of bidding farewell to Li Bai at the Taohuatan Ferry, expressing the innocent feelings between friends who are about to part, simple and unpretentious, and the friendship between siblings is also revealed, which is touching!

This poem, which has an obvious folk song flavor, is natural and simple, fresh and smooth. The poet used the ordinary scenery in front of him as a metaphor to express Li Bai's deep friendship with Wang Lun, an ordinary villager.
Appreciation of "Gift to Wang Lun":
The two lines of the poem describe the scene of farewell. "Li Bai will want to go by boat" means that the poet is about to leave Peach Blossom Lake by boat. That kind of language flows out of the mouth without thinking, showing a chic demeanor that comes and returns with excitement.
The bridge trail suddenly heard the sound of singing on the shore, and the word "suddenly" shows that Wang Lun's arrival was indeed unexpected. From the enthusiastic and hearty singing, Li Bai expected that it must be Wang Lun who came to see him off. This kind of farewell shows that Li Bai and Wang Lun, two friends, are both informal, happy and free people.
The Peach Blossom Pond is a thousand feet deep, not as deep as Wang Lun to send me love", the second half of the poem is lyrical. The third sentence begins with a remote sentence, further explaining that the place of release is in Taohuatan. "A Thousand Feet Deep" not only depicts the characteristics of the pond, but also foreshadows the conclusion.
The water of Peach Blossom Lake is so deep, it touches the feelings of leaving people, unforgettable Wang Lun's deep affection, and the water is deeply and naturally connected.
The concluding sentence bursts out "It's not as good as Wang Lun to send me love", which vividly expresses the sincere and pure affection in a metaphorical way. Li Bai is also very good at grasping the aesthetic psychology and artistic taste of the recipient. Wang Lun is an ordinary villager, and Li Bai used easy-to-understand, fresh and lively language full of folk songs for the poems given to him.
