Compared with the research from other perspectives, the advantages and values of humanistic quality education for college students from the perspective of career planning are as follows: First, the needs of the new era and new situation.

The times are constantly advancing, some new elements that affect the quality of talents, such as economic globalization, cultural pluralism, professionalization, specialization, marketization, competition, etc., have begun to appear, and their major influence is increasingly prominent in the society. The second is the need for China's social and economic development. After several decades of economic and cultural development, China's society has initially entered the social stage of the development level of middle-income countries, and the traditional humanistic quality education that only attaches importance to imparting empty and didactic education has become outdated.

The third is the self-development needs of college students.
