Research Direction 1: Reservoir Geology and Reservoir Description.
Guided by the theories of sedimentology, structural geology, reservoir geology and petroleum geology, and comprehensively using the information of geology, sedimentation, logging and oil testing and production, the structural appearance of the reservoir, the type and distribution of sedimentary facies and microfacies, the geometric form and size of the reservoir, the distribution and heterogeneity of reservoir parameters and its microscopic characteristics, the properties and distribution of fluids in the reservoir are fully revealed, and the change law of the reservoir in three-dimensional space is fully revealed, so as to provide a sufficient and reliable basis for improving oil recovery.
Research Direction 2: Theory and Methods of Oil and Gas Field Development.
The theory of oilfield development geology is divided into natural energy flooding, water flooding and tertiary oil recovery flooding, which are combined, interpenetrated and complementary with petroleum geology, reservoir geology, reservoir engineering, reservoir numerical simulation and well testing. Make full use of various geological logging, logging, testing, well testing, special core analysis technology and development pilot test and other means, and use the method of combining analysis, calculation and simulation to repeatedly verify and invert geological results, and guide the rational development of oilfields.
Research Direction 3: Enhanced Oil Recovery Theory and Technology.
In view of the difficulty of exploitation of high water-cut oilfields in China, this research direction uses physical, chemical and biological new technologies for tailings oil recovery based on theoretical innovation, mainly by injecting chemical substances, steam, gas or microorganisms into the reservoir, so as to change the oil-water viscosity ratio, displacement phase and oil-water interface properties or physical properties, so as to achieve the purpose of improving oil and gas recovery.
