Biography: Wilton Norman Chamberlain (August 21, 1936 – October 12, 1999) was an American basketball player. Philadelphia San Francisco Warriors (Golden State Warriors), Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers who played in the NBA; A graduate of the University of Kansas, he played for Harlem basketball before playing in the NBA.
Considered one of the most dominant players in NBA history.
Chamberlain has numerous NBA records, and he is the only player to average more than 40 and 50 points per game in a season, with his most famous record being 100 points per game. He also won seven NBA scoring titles, eleven NBA rebounding titles, and one NBA assists champion. Chamberlain is the only player in NBA history to average at least 30 points + 20 rebounds per game in a season, and he did it seven times.
