Tao Yuanming (about 365-427), the character Yuanliang, Mr. Wuliu, known as Mr. Jingjie, changed his name to Qian after entering the Liu Song Dynasty. At the end of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, he was a poet, writer, writer and essayist in the Southern Song Dynasty. He was born in Xunyang Chaisang (now Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province) in the Eastern Jin Dynasty.

He has been a petty official for several years, and then resigned and went home, and since then he has lived in seclusion, pastoral life is the main theme of Tao Yuanming's poems, and related works include "Drinking", "Returning to the Garden", "The Story of the Peach Blossom Spring", "The Biography of Mr. Wuliu", "The Words of the Return", "The Peach Blossom Spring" and so on.

He did not want to go with the flow in the chaotic and dark reality, and he went back and forth between officialdom and the countryside several times, and finally retired from Peng Zeling's post at the age of 41 until his death at the age of 63.

Most of Tao Yuanming's works depict life after retirement, showing rural scenery and labor life, and expressing dissatisfaction with the dark reality.

His poems are emotionally real, the style is plain and natural, the poetry is mellow, and the language is fresh, which has a great influence on later generations.

Tao Yuanming created the integration of pastoral poetry and opened up a new realm for classical poetry. Since then, pastoral poetry has been continuously developed, and by the Tang Dynasty, the pastoral landscape poetry school has been formed. After the Song Dynasty, there were countless poets describing the countryside.

I often hate that there is no virtuous helper like the wife of Lao Laizi of Chu State to enlighten me at home, and I only have such a hard work in my arms. Although you are not born of the same mother, you should also think about the meaning of being brothers in the four seas, Guan Zhong and Uncle Bao of Qi are friends, and when they make profits and share wealth in business, there is no suspicion, outsiders can still be like this, not to mention that you are the same father. Brother!

In this way, Tao Yuanming is still the son of a concubine. His "Son of Responsibility".

said that "Yong and Duan are both thirteen years old", it seems that these two people must not be brothers of the same mother. When Tao Yuanming was making a county order in Pengze County, he ordered all the public fields to be planted with sorghum, saying: "In this way, I can get drunk all the time, and I will be satisfied."

However, his wife and son insisted on planting japonica rice, so he ordered that 2 acres and 50 acres be planted with sorghum to make wine, and 50 acres of japonica rice for food. He also said in his self-description in "Words of Return": "The harvest of the public land is enough to make wine, so by the way, I asked Peng Zeling, a petty official."

The crops he had hoped to plant were ripe and left a year later. However, from mid-autumn to winter, he was automatically dismissed from office after only 80 days of official service. The so-called sorghum and japonica rice have not been able to eat a single grain, which is sad!
