2. Improper setting of virtual memory.

Improper setting of virtual memory may also lead to the problem of insufficient memory, under normal circumstances, the size of virtual memory is 2 times the size of physical memory, if it is set too small, it will affect the normal operation of system programs. Resize virtual memory Take WinXP as an example, right-click "My Computer", select "Properties", then in the "Advanced" tab, click the "Settings" button in the "Performance" box, switch to the "Advanced" tab, and then click the "Change" button in the "Virtual Memory" box, then reset the virtual memory size, and restart the system when you are done.

3. Insufficient system space.

The virtual memory file is in the system disk by default, such as the virtual memory file name of WinXP, if the remaining space of the system disk is too small, resulting in insufficient virtual memory, there will also be a problem of insufficient memory. The system disk must reserve at least 300MB of free space, of course, this value depends on the actual needs of the user. Try not to install various application software in the system disk, ensure that there is enough space for virtual memory files, and it is best to place virtual memory files in non-system disks.

4. Because the system user permission is not set properly.

When a Windows system based on the NT kernel is started, the system user creates a virtual memory file for the system. For the sake of system security, some users use the NTFS file system, but the system user's permission to "write" and "modify" in the system disk is canceled, so that it is impossible to create virtual memory files for the system, and the problem of insufficient memory will also occur when running large programs. The problem is easy to solve, just re-grant the system user the "write" and "modify" permissions, but this is limited to users who use the ntfs file system.

2) It is best not to set the virtual memory in the same partition with the system, the memory is dynamically changed with the use, and the C disk is easy to produce disk fragmentation, which affects the running speed of the system, so it is best to set the virtual memory in the disk in other partitions with large remaining disk space and is not commonly used, such as D and F, so as to avoid the system from carrying out frequent read and write operations in this partition and affecting the system speed. Virtual memory can only be one in a computer and can be placed in any partition of the disk.
