Life in a British school:
Hello everyone. My name is John. I was in Year 8 at Forest School near London.
It is a co-educational school. Boys and girls attend classes together. My favorite subject is home economics.
I love learning how to cook and do needlework. Before I came to this school, I didn't know how to do things for myself. Now, I know how to cook healthy and delicious meals.
Our school has a reading week every year. During this year's Reading Week, I read the most books in my class. My classmates and I love our reading week.
We can read any book in our reading room. We can even bring books and magazines from our homes to school, but we have to tell our English teacher what we are reading. At the end of each class, we can discuss our book with our classmates.
Reading week is always too short because we still want to read all of our classmates' books.
School life in the United States:
Hey, everybody (American colloquial, friends, everybody).
I'm Nancy and I'm 14 years old. I was in 9th grade at Rocky Mountain High School in Denver. My brother's name is Jim.
He was 17 years old. He took driving lessons last year. Now, he drives me to school every day.
That's good because it's more time-saving than taking the school bus.
After school, I played softball twice a week. I love the project (games, competitions) and I spend a lot of time practicing. Every Monday, I go to the "Friends Club".
At the Friends Club, older students tell new students about life at school. I thoroughly enjoy (love) this. My best friend is Juliet.
She is a top student in Year 12. He helped me learn all about the new school. She also helped me with my homework and listened to my troubles.
Juliet is my hero.
During lunch, I (would) meet my friends and we always had a good time chatting together. Sometimes, we go shopping after school.
Finally finished playing.,I'm completely hand-typed.,If there are some mistakes or typos.,Please forgive me.。

John. f.Se's troubles began as soon as he and his friend Charlie walked into the Dragon's Head Hotel.
They walked together to the reception, and John said, "Good evening, my name is Danse, and my initials are J F."I've booked a room here, can I pick up my keys?
Pet?! John exclaimed, "Charlie is not a pet, I'm blind, it's my eyes, it takes me anywhere, does it, Charlie?" ”
Charlie barked, sounding as if he was saying "yes".
I'm sorry, sir," the waiter repeated, "but the rules of the hotel are ......."”
John interrupted her: "Please call the manager." ”
The manager came and he immediately agreed that both John and Charlie could move in. He personally led them to their rooms. Before going in, John said, "Can you tell me where the fire exit is?" ”
From here, go through the fifth door. The manager said. "Thank you," said John, "safety first, you know" "You are so wise, sir." The manager said. Then he described his room to John and left.
John himself told us what happened next:
I was so tired that I went to sleep. Charlie woke me up. It was screaming as it tugged at my blanket.
I smell smoke! Fire! Where?
That's when the alarm bell rang and I walked to my door, and I touched it, and the surface was hot, so I didn't open the door, maybe the fire was outside. I wet some towels and plugged the crack in the door.
I tried**, but it broke. I coughed, and a little smoke came in through the towel, so Charlie and I lay on the ground waiting. Those minutes are as long as hours. Then I heard it - the sound of a fire engine, which sounded like ** to me.
I opened the window, waved and shouted, and Charlie barked. A moment later, I heard a voice. The firefighter on the windowsill didn't want to save Charlie, which he said was against the rules. I explained Charlie to him, and seconds later, Charlie and I were both safely outside. ”
Then you saved Charlie's life! I said.
Yes, it saved me too," said John, "is it, Charlie?" ”
Charlie screamed, sounding as if he was saying "yes".
I'm really sorry about that, I can't help you, I hope I can have friends who know to help you, and have a good weekend.
