The mainland has introduced and published Taiwan's high school Chinese textbook "Basic Textbooks of Chinese Studies" and has tried it out in some middle schools.
The content of this set of textbooks is actually a selection of the "Four Books"—the Analects, Mencius, the University, and the Mean.
The contents of the "Four Books" were rearranged and classified. For example, the book "Analects" is divided into four categories: "virtue", "speech", "political affairs", and "literature". Within each category, a number of subheadings are subheaded.
For example, under the "category of virtue", it is divided into "on morality", "on benevolence", "on self-cultivation" and so on. Under "On self-cultivation", there are "On likes and dislikes", "On fortitude" and so on.

The most valuable thing is that the textbook does not shy away from the collision between the ancient and the modern, but inspires students to absorb the essence of the classics with a modern perspective and re-understand its value, rather than seeing it as something immutable.
