1. Add a role service

Open the Server Manager window from the Administrative Tools, in the Node tree, select Web Server, and click Add Role Service.

2. Add the role services required for FTP

In the Select Role Service dialog box, select FTP Publishing Service, and click Add Necessary Role Service in whether to add the role service required for the FTP publishing service.

3. Add FTP role service:

In the Select Role Service window, select FTP Release Role and click Next.

4. Confirm the installation

Click Install in the Confirm Installation Selection window.

5. Complete the installation of FTP service

In the Installation Result window, view the installation prompts and click Close to complete the installation of the FTP service.

6. Start FTP:

Open the Internet Information Services Manager window from the Administrative Tools, the node tree, select the node FTP Site, click Click here to start.

7. Select the "Start" command

In the Node tree of the Internet Information Service Manager window, right-click Default FTP Site and select the Start command.

8. Start the default FTP site:

Click Yes in the IIS Manager window to start the FTP Pubshing Service and the default FTP site.

It's better to install it in the 2003 sever system!

When installing FTP, you need to use the installed version of the CD!

8. Start the default FTP site:

Click Yes in the IIS Manager window to start the FTP Pubshing Service and the default FTP site.

If the WAN port of the router is connected to the campus network and the LAN port is connected to the computer, it can only be FTP, and the computer can be asked to another computer, and the other computer cannot access FTP. Because the LAN underneath the router is not visible to the other computer.

3. Of course, if you press 2 to connect and want to access FTP, you need to do port mapping or other technical means on the router, which is not clear here. Regular routers don't have this feature either.

After the DHCP address of the router is assigned, the two computers are not in the same network segment and cause the problem, you can try to disable the DHCP function of the router.

1. First open the Control Panel - Programs and Functions - Turn on or off Windows features.

2. Find the Internet information service and check the FTP server and web management tools. At this point, the system will install IIS Service Manager, and the installation process may take a few minutes.

3. Go back to the computer desktop, right-click "Computer", click Manage, and enter the computer management interface.

Select IIS Service -** - Add FTP Site.

4. Site information, the site can be written with a name that is convenient for you to distinguish, the physical path is the file address of your FTP connection, and the VPS host is generally a new file set to the desktop.

5. Bind and SSL settings, bind IP, IP is the physical IP of our computer.

6. Authentication and authorization information, click "Anonymous" and "Basic" for authentication, and authorize all users according to their own requirements.
