What are the similarities between ancient and modern cultures?

China's so-called national studies are essentially based on the civilization of the agricultural era. Their decline in modern times is rooted in the decline of China's agricultural civilization, because the rise of industrial civilization in the West will inevitably replace agricultural civilization. Therefore, the mainstream civilization of the world today is actually the Western culture based on industrial civilization in modern times.

China's traditional culture, speaking of which, in fact, is really handed down (at least more than eighty percent), but the Ming and Qing dynasties, or in other words, the existing traditional cultural heritage, in fact, is not more than 500 years. And the earlier things have been almost lost in the long river. Many of the intangible cultural heritages we see now are actually mostly left behind by the Ming and Qing dynasties, and there are almost no earlier ones.

The vast majority of traditional things, in fact, are less than 500 years old, and the things of the last few decades, whether it is the so-called Chinese red, Chinese characteristics, or vitality, will naturally be passed on, and those without vitality will disappear after decades of tinkering.

The study of inner sanctity and the study of the mind of Confucian culture has an undeniable effect on the self-cultivation of the Chinese, and it is desirable to take its essence and remove its dross and selectively integrate it into modern culture.

It is said that China has been up and down for 5,000 years, and there has been no great cultural change in 200 years. The so-called culture is changing every day, a generation has a generation's popularity, a generation has a generation's life, two hundred years earlier, two thousand years earlier, the same is true.

This is not to say that Confucian culture or all Chinese studies have no significance for us to build a new civilization, after all, these are our past, and they are an important reference for us to build a new civilization.
