Many people abandon the traditional Chinese ideas of "benevolence", "courtesy, righteousness, honesty, and shame", follow Western values and morals, one-sidedly pursue Western democracy, freedom, and pragmatism, and advocate copying the Western political system, and "liberalism", "extreme individualism", and "money worship" are rampant.

However, out of the psychology of worshipping the West, some people excessively magnify the shortcomings of Chinese food and praise the advantages of Western food, taking eating steak as the fashion and drinking foreign wine as the high-end, and one-sidedly believing that Western food is a healthy and fashionable way of life.

The influence of Western culture on Chinese culture is reflected in many aspects.

Festivals, food, language, movies, psychology and other aspects have all had varying degrees of influence on Chinese culture.

In terms of festivals, young people are keen to celebrate Western festivals such as Christmas and Valentine's Day, while China's own Qixi Festival, which has traditional ethnic characteristics, has received little attention. In terms of movies, many people nowadays like to watch American blockbusters.

On the one hand, the introduction of Western culture was accompanied by Western colonial invasion, which had ideological control and enslavement of the Chinese; On the other hand, Western culture has promoted China's modernization (including political, economic, social, fashion and culture) and played a great role in ideological enlightenment. Western culture has also brought inspiration to the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
