The oil content of Fengdan seeds is more than 22%, which is higher than the oil content of domestic soybeans (see Table 1).

Cultivation technology of oil peony.

1 Planting. Choose a sunny place without stagnant water, preferably a sunny slope, with fertile soil and well-drained sandy loam. 2 Light and temperature.

The suitable temperature for flowering is 17 -20, but it must be treated at a low temperature of 1 -10 for 2 -3 months before flowering. The minimum temperature tolerance is -30, but the cold regions in the north need to take appropriate cold protection measures in winter to avoid frost damage.

The high temperature and high humidity weather in the south is extremely unfavorable to the growth of peonies, so the cultivation of peonies in the south needs to give them specific environmental conditions to enjoy the beautiful peony flowers.

3 Watering and fertilizing.

Water 2 times before planting. Fill with water once before winter to ensure its safe wintering. After the beginning of spring, water according to the dry and wet conditions of the soil, but do not overwater.

Fertilizer is generally applied 3 times a year, the first time is pre-flowering fertilizer, and fast-acting fertilizer is applied to promote its flowering and blooming. The second time is post-flowering fertilizer, and the first time is organic liquid fertilizer. The 3rd time is autumn and winter fertilizer, mainly basal fertilizer, to promote the growth of the following spring.

4 Shaping and trimming.

5 Flowering control.

1) Site selection. The selection of land should mainly pay attention to two aspects: soil quality and topography

Because the root of peony is a thick and long fleshy root, when it grows well, the root length can reach more than 1 meter, so the soil layer for planting peony must be deep and fertile, and it is advisable to use loose loam or sandy loam soil; Peony grows well in neutral soil, and the soil pH value is appropriate; Peonies should not be planted on raw, saline, clay and waterlogged soils, which must be improved before they can be used.

2 Topography. If we can choose the terrain appropriately according to the habits of peonies, they can be planted in all parts of the north and south. If the climate in the north is dry, you can choose to plant in a higher place; Although the southern peony cultivar group is more tolerant to humidity and heat and shade than the peony cultivar group in the Central Plains and the Northwest peony cultivar group, due to the rainy rain in the south, especially in autumn, moisture prevention is the key to cultivating the southern peony. Therefore, the cultivation site should choose a high, sunny and ventilated place.

The soil should be a deep, fertile, loose, well-drained loam or sandy soil. Flat land cultivation should be ridged and trenched to lower the water table and drain better.
