To take the IELTS test, you need to bring your ID and admission ticket.

When you enter on test day, you must bring:
1) Valid identity documents (ID card, passport, military ID, Taiwan compatriot card) must be exactly the same as the documents used at the time of registration;

Personal items other than essential medicines are not allowed in the testing room. It is strongly recommended that you do not bring valuables to the testing room. The British Council (which operates in China as the Cultural and Education Section of the British Embassy and Consulates-General) and the examination centre are not responsible for the custody of personal belongings placed in designated locations outside the test room and are not responsible for any damage or loss.
Written test: Arrive at the test center at 8:00 and stop entering the written test room at 8:30.
Speaking test: Please arrive at the test center at least 30 minutes in advance and enter the speaking test room 15 minutes before the speaking test.

2) ID documents are not accepted for registration
Identification documents that are not accepted for IELTS online registration include but are not limited to: first-generation ID card, temporary ID card, household registration booklet, household registration certificate, public security certificate, motor vehicle driving license, student ID, work permit, People's Republic of China Travel-to-Hong Kong and Macao Travel Permit, Hong Kong and Macao Residents and Mainland Travel Permit or Home Return Permit, Hong Kong Document of Identity for Visa Purposes, any expired certificates, social security card, etc.
2. What is not allowed to be brought into the IELTS test.
Other items approved by the proctor include essential medications and an unlabeled bottle of drinking water. Don't bring anything outside of the rules, as there is a chance that you will be judged cheating, so be aware of what is allowed in the rules.
