A technical system for the evaluation of high-level radioactive waste geological disposal sites has been established, and a number of key technologies have been broken through in the evaluation of granite site characteristics of high-level radioactive waste repositories. He presided over the design and completion of the first batch of deep boreholes for the evaluation of high-level radioactive waste disposal sites in China, and found a new site with a very complete rock mass and excellent engineering rock mass quality in the pre-selection area of Beishan, Gansu Province through ground investigation and deep borehole confirmation.
