If they are physically able to continue their normal work, have strong professional ability, and are willing to continue working, their retirement age may be extended by one to five years after their unit reports to the competent authorities at or above the county level for strict examination and approval, and the retirement age after the extension shall not exceed 60 years for female comrades and 65 years for male comrades.

Among the above-mentioned personnel who have extended the retirement age, those who hold administrative leadership positions or managerial positions shall generally be removed from their administrative leadership posts or management posts when they reach the retirement age uniformly prescribed by the state, so that they can concentrate their energies on continuing to engage in professional work.
