Scotland Yard is not a place name, it is another name for the Metropolitan Police in London.
Scotland Yard, or City Police or Special Police Station to be inexactly, is another name for the headquarters of the Metropolitan Police in London, originally named because it was built on the site of a residence of the Scottish royal family, and later moved to a new headquarters on the embankment of the River Thames, also known as New Scotland Yard. In fact, it is directly controlled by the British Cabinet and is the British counter-espionage and anti-sabotage agency, with the power to arrest, interrogate and prosecute.
Scotland Yard, the London police agency established under the Act of 1829, established the Irish Special Police Bureau in London in 1883 for the campaign against fennia, or the Political Section of the Criminal Investigation Division of the London Police, nominally under the leadership of Scotland Yard, in fact under the direct control of the British Cabinet, one of the British counter-espionage and anti-sabotage agencies.
The head office is located on the top floor of Scotland Square, Victoria Street, London. It also has a number of offices around London. Scotland Yard has 4 branches:
The port office is responsible for the monitoring of ports and airports; The administrative office is responsible for administrative logistics; the Operations Room, which is responsible for the protection of important people; The SWAT Training Center is responsible for recruiting, vetting and training SWAT officers. There are 41 subordinate mobile teams throughout the country. There are a total of 1,550 full-time police officers.
Of these, 550 are stationed at headquarters; Another 1,000 are located across the country. The budget is estimated at $50 million.

Scotland Yard, officially known as New Scotland Yard, also known as Scotland Yard, the Yard. Refers to the headquarters of the London Police Force in the capital of the United Kingdom. The area of responsibility includes policing and traffic maintenance duties throughout Greater London (except the City of London).
Scotland Yard is located in London's Westminster borough, about 200 yards from the House of Lords.
As a result, Scotland Yard itself is neither located in Scotland nor is it responsible for the security of Scotland. The name Scotland Yard is derived from 1829, when the Capital Police Service was located on the remains of the old Scottish royal palace (probably the palace used by the King of Scotland when he visited England or the palace used by the King of Scotland's ambassador to the United Kingdom). In 1890 it was moved to Victoria Embankment (not far from today's British Ministry of Defence) and moved to its current location in 1967.
The two new addresses are also known as "New Scotland Yard".
