Coordination chemistry of polyoxometallic oxygen clusters and chemistry of materials. Polyoxocarbonic oxygen clusters have attracted more and more attention due to their structural diversity and modifierability, as well as the tunable denaturability of physical and chemical properties, and have developed rapidly in the past two decades, and have become a hot spot in the interdisciplinary research of inorganic chemistry and organic chemistry, materials chemistry, biochemistry and other disciplines. According to statistics, the literature and patents related to the application research of polyoxometallic oxide clusters involve 20 aspects, such as corrosion-resistant films, waste treatment agents, exhaust gas absorbers, ion exchangers, sensors, dyes, electrodes, batteries, optoelectronic devices, catalysis, medicinal chemistry, food chemistry, clinical analysis, and pulp bleaching.
At present, the research on polyoxocarbonic oxygen clusters is developing in the direction of combining with high and new technology. For example, polyoxometal oxygen clusters are hybridized with organic molecules to prepare functional nanomaterials, composite membrane materials, composite porous materials, etc. These new materials will have potential application prospects in optoelectronic devices, medicine and health, environmental protection, etc.
Therefore, the continuous efforts in the chemical and biological activity of polyoxometallic oxide cluster materials will surely lead to rich scientific research results.
