Jiang Ziya knew that this was a sacred bird, so he pretended to chase the bird out of the door until he reached a deserted hillside.
The sacred bird perched on a silk bamboo, and murmured: "Jiang Ziya, Jiang Ziya, you can't grab meat with your hands, the meat is under my feet..." Jiang Ziya listened to the guidance of the divine bird, and hurriedly picked two filament bamboos and returned home.
At this time, his wife urged him to eat meat again, so Jiang Ziya stretched two silk bamboos into the bowl to sandwich the meat, and suddenly saw a puff of green smoke sizzling from the silk bamboo. Jiang Ziya pretended not to know about poisoning, and said to his wife: "How can the meat smoke, is it poisonous?"
As he spoke, Jiang Ziya picked up the meat and sent it to his wife's mouth. The wife's face turned white with fright, and she hurriedly ran out of the door. Jiang Ziya understood that this silk bamboo was a sacred bamboo given by the divine bird, and any poison could be detected, so he used two silk bamboos for every meal from then on.
After the news of this incident came out, his wife not only did not dare to poison again, but also the neighbors also learned to eat with bamboo branches. Later, more and more people followed suit, and the custom of eating with chopsticks was passed down from generation to generation. This legend is obviously the product of worshipping Jiang Ziya, and it does not match the historical records.

Daji ordered the craftsman to make two long hostas for holding vegetables, which is the prototype of jade chopsticks. Later, this way of picking vegetables spread to the people, and there were chopsticks.
