Consumer-grade, Fuji's in the same price range is good. I've used Fujifilm's S9500 and the macro and large zoom are good.

Personal experience of using the S205EXR:
In terms of speed such as focusing speed and storage speed, it is definitely much worse than the SLR, so you should have a slow work mentality when using it.
In terms of picture quality, when the light is good, the picture quality is very good, but don't believe that the water post is comparable to the SLR, the CCD size is placed there, this is unrealistic. Detail depiction, ISO, color, etc. are already very good in the same level DC. The noise problem is not very noticeable when you don't use tools such as PS to increase the contrast of gradations and curves.
As long as the PS adjustment curve is on (pull it larger), the performance is very obvious. In the case of low illumination and aspect ratio (such as lights in the dark), the image quality is the worst, purple fringing begins to appear a lot (white light source, etc.), and noise is basically unacceptable with the PS curve. Generally speaking, there is not much room for post-adjustment, and it is more suitable for direct filming.
In the case of low ISO, it is still possible to use the PS tool to sharpen, slightly pull the curve, increase the saturation, etc. Keeping the ISO between 100 and 200 is the best image quality guarantee for the S205.
Macro is not as good as advertised, especially ultra-macro. Since the ultra-macro only achieves the closest focus at the wide-angle end, the magnification is still very limited. In addition, although the on-camera flash cannot be used in the ultra-macro situation, it is possible to achieve ultra-macro flash with an external flash.
Although there is a gap between the focusing speed and image quality compared to the DSLR, due to the advantages of the lens's zoom ratio and the weight of the machine, I prefer to bring the S205 to shoot subjects such as life records when the weather is not very gloomy.
In addition, I have to mention that the S205's stabilization is really good.

The S205 has the best image quality and color, which is highly recommended, and the lens quality is also the best in the 205.

Of course, it's P100 is good, but S4050 is also good, Fuji's telephoto machine is still very trustworthy, more cost-effective, to be honest, the difference between these two cameras is hundreds of dollars, more money must be P100, less money S4050, but I think S4050 is definitely not bad compared to P100, and even better than P100 in many aspects. In fact, if you have a lot of money, you can still look at Fujifilm's HS11 and HS22, as well as Panasonic's FZ40. Nikon's telephoto machine always feels like it's in decline, since the P90.
Yes, DSLR Nikon, forget about the rest.

Nikon P100 is good, Nikon is a big brand in the camera industry!
The P100 has better form factor performance than the Fujifilm S4050
My personal recommendation is still Nikon P100 is better.
Nikon's supporting blame is also many!!

Much stronger than the S2900HD.
S2900HD full manual support suitable for practice night scene cloudy day can not see macro ultra macro comparable to SLR.
hs11 Appearance doesn't have to be said Full manual support If the pixel is higher, I must choose HS11, but it seems to be large and the machine is heavy, if you must choose, consider anti-shake.

Nikon P100 is definitely good but highly recommend Nikon P6000
