4. Determine the position where the contact of the cut-off is just opened.
Unscrew the fixing screws of the distributor housing, and turn the shell along the direction of rotation of the distributor shaft first, so that the two contacts are in a closed position. Then turn on the ignition switch and turn the shell of the distributor in the opposite direction of rotation of the distributor shaft while facing the high-voltage wire of the ignition coil against the tie iron (about 2 3 mm) until a spark is found. Finally, tighten the set screws of the distributor housing.
5. Connect the high-voltage line according to the ignition order
Replace the fire divider, insert the first cylinder high-voltage wire into the plug-in hole where the distributor cover and the conductive piece of the distributor head are aligned, and plug in the high-voltage wire of each cylinder in the order of clockwise direction.
6. Start the inspection:
Start the engine to run to a normal temperature, accelerate suddenly, and if the engine makes a short and slight knocking sound and disappears immediately, the ignition time is appropriate. If there is no knocking sound, that is, the ignition time is late, the fixing screw of the distributor shell should be loosened, and the distributor shell should be rotated a little in the opposite direction of the distributor shaft. If the detonation sound is severe, that is, the ignition time is early, the distributor shell should be turned in the opposite direction of the above until it is suitable.
