Wenjiadian Town is located in the southwest of Sinan County, Guizhou Province, on the south bank of the middle and lower reaches of the Wujiang River, at the junction of Sinan, Shiqian and Fenggang counties, bordering Sandao Water Township in the east, Wengxi Town in the south, Benzhuang Town in Shiqian County in the west, and facing each other across the river in Hepeng, Changba and Tianqiao Township in Fenggang County in the north. With a history of more than 900 years, Wenjiadian Town has undergone many historical changes, and the administrative area has also changed frequently after liberation. The town has jurisdiction over 14 villages, 1 neighborhood committee, 8 villager groups, and 1 county town-based unit, with 3,676 households and 15,233 people.

The Han, Tujia, Miao and other ethnic groups live together, and ethnic minorities account for 48% of the total population.

Wenjiadian Town is located on the south bank of the middle and lower reaches of the Wujiang River, at the junction of Sinan, Shiqian and Fenggang counties, bordering Sandao Water Township in the east, Wengxi Town in the south, Zhengru in Benzhuang Town of Shiqian County in the west, and facing each other across the river in Hepeng, Changba and Tianqiao Township in Fenggang County in the north. The highest altitude in the territory is 1033 2 meters, the lowest altitude is 375 meters, Wujiang River enters from Gaotan to Leigongmen exit, the process is 21 kilometers, passing through 9 villages and 20 villages in the town.
