In the 80s of the last century, Changyu established the laboratory of Cabernet Dry Red Center, and on the basis of inheritance, he perfected and understood the process formula of Cabernet, which greatly improved the stability of the liquor. In the 90s, Changyu Technology Trail Center carried out a lot of research on the quality improvement of Cabernet, and used modern biotechnology to select and breed four excellent new strains from the Basal Dragon Pearl, and determined the characteristic flavor components of Changyu Cabernet through modern analytical technologies such as liquid phase, gas chromatography and mass spectrometry.

In 1998, Changyu built a 30,000-ton liquor fermentation center, which is mainly used for the fermentation and storage of Cabernet liquor. In 2007, a Cabernet production center with an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons was built, as well as the world's most advanced bottling production line with an hourly capacity of 15,000 bottles of wine.

Under the guarantee of technological innovation, Changyu has also established a strict comprehensive quality grading system: for the vineyard, grape raw materials, vinification process, oak barrel aging, blending and bottling of the six key aspects of wine quality formation are carefully evaluated, layer by layer optimization, and finally divided Changyu Cabernet into four levels: master, reserve, special and preferred. Compared with one-sided quality grading methods such as vintage and tree age, this system realizes the whole process of wine quality control, making the quality assessment of each level more comprehensive and objective.
